All bulls will be accompanied with proper health certificates for immediate shipment to most locations in the United States. All cattle have been tested for: BVD PI, Arthrogryposis Multiplex (AM), Neuropathic Hydrocephalus Free (NH), Homozygous Polled and Black and have had passed breeding soundness exams. All bulls are virgins and have been Trich tested. VACCINATION PROGRAM

All bulls selling have been vaccinated/poured with Ivomec, Spirovac VL5, Titanium 5, TSV-2, Vision 7 Somnus with SPUR. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION

Limousin Breeders and Progressive Commercial Cattlemen, The Magness Land and Cattle Spring Bull Sale is scheduled for Sunday, March 23, 2014 at the Southern Division headquarters in Miami, Oklahoma. This outstanding set of bulls once again features members of the Grand Champion & People’s Choice Carload, the Reserve Grand Champion Carload, the Grand Champion Purebred Pen of 3 and the Grand Champion & People’s Choice Lim-Flex Pen of 3 from the 2014 National Western Stock Show in Denver. Bulls selling will be Fall Yearlings and Spring Yearlings that have been ultra-sounded, semen tested and are ready to go to work. Of the many factors that affect the bottom line in this business, the bulls we use in our breeding program is the one factor that we have the most control over, particularly in the commercial cow-calf segment of our industry. To that end, in the catalog you will find EPD profiles that reflect the very best in Limousin and LimFlex genetics. Further you will find ultrasound data and performance data including birth weight, adjusted weaning weight, adjusted yearling weight, adjusted scrotal circumference, rib eye area and percent IMF. When you analyze the bulls phenotypically, you will find the bulls to be docile, structurally correct, stout, easy fleshing and muscular. The beef cattle industry continues to enjoy the highest prices in history for all segments of the beef industry, especially for cattle with the built in performance that comes from the use of top of the line genetics. The bulls that can sire these market topping calves are available in this sale as indicated by their physical traits and outstanding genetic profiles. As an incentive to buy a few more young bulls to replace some of your older herd sires, we are offering a 5% discount on the purchase of 5-9 bulls and a 10% discount on the purchase of 10 bulls or more. Should you wish to trade in your old bull for a new one, we are once again paying you the top of the market for your old bull plus, an additional $300 for each new bull you purchase at this years sale. Performance EPDs

CED Stands for Calving Ease Direct and is important when choosing sires to produce calves born easily. The higher the number the better. BW Expresses the difference in birth weight on the progeny of the bulls being compared. Lower birth weight EPDs indicate lighter progeny birth weights.

YW Expresses the difference in pounds at 365 days on the progeny of the bull being compared. MA Stands for Milking Ability and predicts differences in weaning weights from daughterâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s calves due to genes inherited for milk.

WW Expresses the difference in lbs at 205 days on the progeny of the bull being compared.

CEM Stands for Calving Ease Maternal and is important for choosing sires that produce replacement females that give birth to their first calf easily. The higher the number the better.

Breed Averages

CW Expresses the difference in pounds of carcass weight. RE Expresses the difference in square inches of rib eye area. Larger values indicate larger ribeye areas. YG Indicate genetic differences for yield grade and cutability of offspring. Lower values are more favorable. MS Expresses the difference in the amount of intramuscular fat in the ribeye. Higher values are favored.
