Magnificent Baby®’s mission is to make parents’ and their little ones’ lives easier by making it possible to dress or change a baby in seconds with our patented Smart Close magnetic-fastening technology! Launched in New York City in 2010, Magnificent Baby® is a children’s wear lifestyle design label that focuses on high fashion, high function and high comfort with a style that is whimsical yet sophisticated - modern and urban with a humorous twist. Magnificent Baby® encompasses multiple product categories, including baby, boys’ and girls’ playwear, outerwear and accessories for ages 0 to 4 years old. All of our lines are created in modern silhouettes and made of the finest cotton, velour, fleece, terry and stretch cotton blends. Magnificent Baby®’s designs have been featured in major US media such as the Today Show, Good Morning America, The New York Times, People Magazine, InTouch, NBC and CBS television. We’ve also been featured internationally in England’s Telegraph, Italy’s La Repubblica, Ireland’s Yahoo News, Australia’s Babyology and other media. In its first year, Magnificent Baby® was voted Top 10 in 2010 by Pregnancy & Newborn Magazine and has won several prestigious awards such as the Juvenile Product Manufacturer’s Association (JPMA) Innovation Award. ABOUT US After struggling to put a Velcro bib on her nephew and then seeing him cry from the Velcro ripping out his fine baby hair, Lauren thought, “why not a magnet which would be more gentle and fasten itself?” Two years later, after vigorous research and development, Magnificent Baby® came to market with a full line of infant’s wear to critical acclaim. Lifelong college friends, Lauren & Lawrence left corporate America with the single goal of making life easier for as many parents and babies as possible. Compliments heard most often: “Why didn’t I think of that?”, “I wish I had that when my son/daughter was little.”, and, “Does it come in my size”?
Lauren is a graduate of Emory University and New York University’s Business School and spent ten years in investment banking as a commercial real estate analyst. Lauren then studied at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology and has six years of industry experience. Lauren’s focus at Magnificent Baby® encompasses design and marketing. Lauren Levy Co-founder & President Lawrence is a graduate of Emory University and Harvard Law School and spent ten years as corporate attorney on Wall Street. Lawrence is also a graduate of Mayor Bloomberg’s Fasttrac New Venture program and has six years of industry experience. Magnificent Baby® is named Top 10 in 2010 by Pregnancy & Newborn Magazine – the only apparel company named to the annual top 10 list.

Magnificent Baby® moves production from Peru to China. Sales triple over 2010. Magnificent Baby® adds Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor, Destination Maternity and Magic Beans to its list of prestigious retailers. Conceptualizes, designs and executes successful collection called An Heir is Born to celebrate the arrival of England’s Prince George. Collection becomes international media sensation and is featured globally from the US to Australia. Magnificent Baby® makes its 2nd and 3rd appearance on the Today Show and Lauren is interviewed by Fox News Business. Added by luxury retailer Neiman Marcus. Magnificent Baby® launches an exclusive collection for Target Australia. Adds distributors in Hong Kong, New Zealand, and Switzerland. Named 2013 Finalist for Red Tricycle Awards for Top Baby Gifts Wins prestigious Best of Baby award from major baby publication The Bump for the second year in a row.
2014
Expands the line to go up to 4T. Adds Playwear, Raincoats and Wrist Rattles to offering. Named 2014 Finalist for Earnshaw’s Earnie Awards in “Best Infant’s Wear” category. Magnificent Baby® appears on ABC’s Shark Tank.
STYLE Magnificent Baby® focuses on high style, high function and high comfort. Magnificent Baby® appeals to the modern mom and gift giver with discerning tastes who wants to dress baby in something unique and special. She is a mom on the go that buys the very best for her baby and she will buy Magnificent Baby® for herself as much as she buys for friends. Layette prints are designed exclusively in Europe with direction from co-founder and creative director Lauren keeping in mind our philosophy of whimsical yet sophisticated – modern and urban with a humorous twist. Designs are to please parents while still having baby dressed like a baby. For example, the Hello Hotdogs collection shows Dachshunds greeting each other in four languages. Magnificent Baby® brings to market new infant and toddler collections each Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter. The company is constantly bringing new and innovative products to market each season as well.

Our production facilities are independently audited to meet strict, international ethical and technical standards and are certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100 requirements.
