TOP TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL TOURNAMENT Social Media
This is forms a huge part of communication with guests, as we can almost guarantee our guests will be on one form of social media. Please ensure you are posting about the Women’s Euro fixtures across your social channels to raise awareness of the tournament at your venue. Assets can be found on Rep.com
Country Flags
Having these up on and on display is a great way to show your venue’s commitment to the tournament. Please display your flags loud and proud! This is standard for men’s tournaments and should be no different for the women’s.
The Sport Experience
It’s important to ensure guests are experiencing the best possible atmosphere in our pubs — something they can’t get at home. There are several ingredients that work together to make guests feel welcome and ready for the match:
Pre match content is playing on the screen to build atmophere (England games only). Adjust lighting to lower level When players are in the tunnel, fade music down and go to commentary For bigger games, ensure all TVs are switched to the match and the sound is on
FINAL THOUGHTS The interest levels of this tournament will build! It’s critical that we are consistently showing the games and making fans of the women’s game – who may never have been in your pub before – feel welcome. These guests also need to feel confident that your venue is showing the game.
The coverage and awareness for this will be huge, so please get behind it from the start and enjoy the benefits as it ramps up!
