MYTIME Young Carers gets Greendale’s Vote! Chartered Builders, Greendale Construction Limited has announced it will be supporting Dorset based MYTIME Young Carers as it’s chosen charity for 2022. Founded in 1987, MYTIME Young Carers is on a mission to level the playing field for young carers and young adult carers by providing them with the support, opportunities, and friendship that every child needs and deserves. Maria Tidy, Community Development Manager said: “MYTIME Young Carers aims to provide support for young carers wherever there is a need. We understand that caring responsibilities can have far-reaching impact on a child’s life, and we know that no two young carers’ needs are the same. That’s why we offer a range of programmes, each designed to address a different area of need and to provide a different kind of support. “With over 80% of young carers saying their mental health has been impacted by their role, our R&R retreat in the Purbecks also gives young carers that vital ‘me time’ they so greatly need and deserve. “We are thrilled that Greendale has chosen MYTIME Young Carers as its charity for 2022 as this will enable us to continue providing the much needed and valued support to all our young carers across Dorset.” Maria Seabright, HR/Finance Director, Greendale Construction, commented: “Greendale are proud to be supporting yet another fantastic Dorset charity in MYTIME Young Carers. We will be raising funds over the coming year in a number of ways, including at our Greendale Christmas party where there will be an auction, and our annual cake sale.
