In recent years we’ve represented the concerns of businesses to the local councils, contributing to a significant cut in the cost of car parking charges. We played an important role in the establishment of the Weymouth BID, in whose operation we take a keen interest.

East Sussex Council Advance their Learners with JRS Training

In October JRS Training worked with East Sussex Council’s Steps to Work scheme, to support a group of trainees with their entry into work. Working closely with the Steps to Work team, JRS Training handpicked a variety of qualifications and methods of teaching which would be both accessible and useful to the trainees.

With the support of JRS Training’s managing director, James Owen, the trainees were able to achieve Level 1 Health and Safety in Construction and Environment and Emergency First Aid At Work, as well as qualifications in Working at Height, Vehicle Marshalling, Manual Handling and Asbestos Awareness.

After getting to know the trainees, James tailored his delivery of the courses to work on additional skills, such as presentation and overall communication, in order to further support the group with their upcoming interviews. jrstraining.com
