The Sarah Bolter Quartet (Not just Sax) Sarah started learning the clarinet when she was 8yrs old, quickly following this with the flute and saxophone. Sarah joined her first big band at the age of 13yrs and her first original band at 15yrs. The next few years were a series of recording sessions/ live gigs and recording contracts, filled with fun and promises. In 2001 Sarah decided to go back to studying and graduated from Southampton University with a BA Mus, specialising in Jazz alto saxophone and classical soprano saxophone. During this period Sarah also formed her band Not Just Sax. Not Just Sax has gone from strength to strength and features Ray Shea on piano, Pete Maxfield on double bass and Johnny Eyden on drums. Not Just Sax specialise in strong, rhythmic, melodic jazz, which features all the players.

Liberty’s Owl, Raptor and Reptile Centre The Centre is named after Liberty, our Alaskan Bald Eagle, one of the many birds of prey that we have on display just outside Ringwood. At Liberty’s you will find Owls, Hawks, Falcons and Vultures, as well as a collection of Reptiles and other creepy crawlies in our Reptile House. We also offer falconry experience days, photographic experience days and hawking days to people who want to take up the opportunity to enjoy a closer encounter with some of our birds. Liberty’s Centre is located on the site of the former New Forest Owl Sanctuary which was closed down in 2003. The site was taken over by the current owners, opening up to the public once again in 2005 as Liberty’s Owl, Raptor and Reptile Centre. Since

opening the Centre, the current owners have made many improvements for the well being of the birds, and work continues to develop the Centre further. Liberty’s Centre is involved in many breeding and conservation projects with other Centres and Zoos both in the UK and abroad. We work as a rescue centre for many injured wild birds, trying to ensure their rehabilitation and eventual release back into the wild. All medical veterinary costs are funded solely from visitor admission sales and donations.
Chubby the Magician Chubby has been performing magic for over 20 years specialising in children’s entertainment, balloon modelling, workshops and magic for private parties, shopping centres, schools, clubs, fetes, weddings, charity galas and corporate events.

PRS for Music licences the use of copyright music across the UK, giving businesses and organisations the legal permission they need to play the music they want. These licences ensure that music publishers, songwriters and composers are fairly rewarded with royalties so they can keep making music and mean that we’re able to support music at events like this. FClassic & Custom erndown
Car Show
Last year we had nearly 95 classic and custom vehicles on display and everyone was able to make the most of the exceptionally sunny and dry weather. This was our biggest turnout in our history – at our first shown in the 2012 Jubilee year we had 29. This year can you help us exceed the magic 100 for the first time?
Visitors are very welcome to take a look and to wander around the cars and club displays. There is a great atmosphere with lots of enthusiastic owners who would be very happy to talk to you about their own pride and joy. See if there is a car like your parents had or perhaps your first car. We encourage a wide range of vehicles. They can be Classic or Customised Cars, Commercials, Agricultural or Motorcycles – steam or petrol or diesel or electric or man powered! Ancient or even modern if being of special interest! If you want more details about showing your vehicle at this year’s event, then please follow the appropriate link below where you can download and print PDFs showing more information and the entry forms. If you book in advance to show your vehicle you will be exempt the £2 fee. You can arrive on the day to show without

booking just for the £2 fee which includes our newlook commemorative plaque, but it helps us if you can use one of the forms below to pre-book your Classic or Custom vehicle. This is so we have enough marshals and space to accommodate everyone. Come as early as you can after 9.45am to make the most of the day. [Recommended arrival time 9.45am – 10.30am]. The show ends at 5pm. Finally, we’d be very grateful if you could help promote this great event for us so please download and print the Window advertisement from the link below and display it at home, on your car or at work. www.ferndownfotf.org takes you to the home page which tells you more about everything that will be happening on the field – as you can see elsewhere in this guide there is a fantastic range of events, food, entertainments making it a super day out for all the family.
PAWS IN HAND – DOG TRAINING AND BEHAVIOUR
DS og
how
Ferndown based Paws in Hand Dog Training & Behaviour’s clients will display some advanced obedience activities as well as showcasing the amazing things that Bodhi, an assistance dog, can do. Bodhi starred in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang last year and is a bit of a local celebrity! All dogs have been trained using positive methods at the Paws in Hand school. Dog training should be enjoyed, not endured, by both dog and human and we train using fun methods that are proven to work. For those who are interested, we will even show you how you can train your own dog. Paws in Hand was established in 2004 by local, Denise Nuttall, who is a registered Clinical Animal
Behaviourist and Animal Training Instructor with the animal training regulator, Animal Behaviour and Trainers Council (ABTC), an organisation that was established after a government consultation on welfare in animal training concluded regulation was required in the interests of animal welfare. The ABTC is the government recognised regulator. Denise is also BBC Radio Solent’s dog expert where she answers questions live on air. Paws in Hand offers indoor classes in Ferndown, St Leonards and Bearwood. Outdoor classes are run in a safe enclosed outdoor space near Wimborne. Paws in Hand is widely recommended by vets. For more information please see www.pawsinhand.co.uk.
