Funfair
A regular attraction at the Fete on the Field, we welcome William Coles again this year, providing a range of rides for the family to enjoy.
Classic & Custom Car Show
In our recent shows we have enjoyed magnificent vehicles of all shapes, sizes and ages! A big thank you to all who made that happen.
Not got a classic? The owners will be delighted to show you their pride and joys, often the result of many hundreds of hours of dedicated labour, and even many years of honing. Take your time viewing the wonderful selection of club and private entries of all descriptions. Maybe some are like what you used to own or your family members proudly enjoyed years ago, bringing alive your happy motoring memories. There will be classic and customised cars, commercials, British sports cars and early saloons and
convertibles, to iconic bubble cars, and perhaps even the odd tractor! Bringing a classic or custom car? Book online and don’t forget to display your show pass that we will send to you to ease your arrival on the day. Come and enjoy a great day out, enjoy all manner of fun and interesting activities happening across our playing fields and help the Ferndown and Parley Rotary Club raise funds for local charities. There will be much to see with lots of food and drink available to keep you fuelled up! Most of all we hope you enjoy your day with us in Ferndown on the King George V Playing Fields.

Liberty’s Birds of Prey
This is another very popular display that attracts hundreds of onlookers.
O’Leary Dancers
The O’Leary Academy of Irish Dancing is based in Bournemouth and is under the direction of Kate O’Leary.
Kate established the school in 2019 with just 7 dancers, she now has over 50 dancers ranging from 4 years of age up to and including adults.
Kate’s dancers perform at all levels, from exam work to dance shows and at International Championships.
Krazy Kev
Krazy Kev is the south’s leading children’s entertainer. He has performed across the globe and is renowned for his silly comedy and amazing magic skills. We are delighted to have him entertain the children at Fete on the Field.
Urban Displays
Our high-energy extreme sports show sees mountain bike athletes perform a series of daring feats on a purposebuilt rig – feats that require incredible balance, accuracy and an element of crazy. Using head mics to communicate with the crowd, our riders will have the whole audience rooting for them to nail their manoeuvres.
Miriam’s Face Painting
Loved by the little ones. Miriam painted over 80 children’s faces throughout the day in 2023.
West Parley School Choir
will be singing
Charlotte Geary
Amongst the entertainers at the fete will be one of the up and coming young stars of the South, local girl Charlotte Geary. Charlotte will be singing songs old and new in her own exciting style. Definitely a star of the future from Ferndown.”
West Moors Middle School
will be playing a steel band
Forest FM
Forest FM is part of the local community and its aim is to build upon the area’s unique community spirit, helping it to grow and prosper. Unlike many radio stations, Forest FM operates a true ‘open door’ policy and have allocated a significant percentage of airtime each day to all of the local clubs, societies, organisations and indeed individuals who might want to participate.
Crucial to Forest FM’s success is the local business community. It’s their support that keeps them on air and provides facilities for their listeners.
Maria’s Fun Dog Show
Maria will be running a Fun Dog Show in the following categories:
• Handsome Hound
• Loveliest Lady
• Cutest Puppy
• Best Rescue
• Finest Pedigree
• Best Cross
• Waggiest Tail
• Most Appealing Eyes
Entry Fee £1 per category. Dogs place 1st or 2nd in each class to be entered into BEST IN SHOW
Still Breathing
‘3’ Surviving members of a 5 piece local Bournemouth Band from the Late 60’s Early 70’s. We are Mark Eden, Pete Dashwood and Jim Bellamy.
We got together about 18 months ago, playing mainly covers from the 60’s, 70’s and 90’s.
We have, since forming, played serveral gigs indoor and outdoors locally.
Raffle
At every Fete on the Field, members of the Ferndown & Parley Rotary Club walk the field trying to extricate monies from people in support of good causes. Known as “the enforcers” it’s difficult to say “no” and all their efforts last year raised a staggering £1,225 for local charities including the local foodbank. Try your luck at winning a wheelbarrow full of bottles - wheelbarrow included. “
