turts Community Trust is an exciting venture bringing together a range of social initiatives built around a vision of promoting sustainability. We have our base on Sturts Farm, a 90 acre working organic biodynamic farm on the outskirts of West Moors. As a Camphill Community, Sturts Farm has, for well over 30 years, been offering land-based work opportunities, individualised support and supported living for adults who have a learning disability. With the founding of the Sturts Community Trust we are building on this rich history by opening up our resources and expertise in social work and agriculture to benefit a wider range of individuals within our local community in East Dorset.
Our vision is to promote opportunities in land-based activities, including on our farm, in our garden and by providing allotment spaces; opportunities for lifelong learning based around the themes of sustainability, food and the arts; to offer opportunities to benefit from accommodation within our co-housing project; and to offer individuals the level of individualised support they need.
Sturts Community Trust aims to be a vibrant and valued resource within our local community by offering access to a local farm and to local food and through this to build relationships through working and learning together. We hope you enjoy finding out more about us at our Summer Fete. We are excited to announce that Sturts Community Trust will be opening a Farm Shop this autumn at Gullivers Farm, West Moors. We will be selling fresh produce from Sturts Farm at our deli counter, serving teas and coffee daily and selling other specialist produce for your larder from local producers in and around Dorset.

SOCIAL E S I R P R E ENT
turts Community Trust provides opportunities to experience working activities on a working farm, in a supportive environment. Such work provides opportunities for individuals to experience meaningful activity in an equal context, as everyone has a part to play. Whether this is working with animals on the farm or in our market garden or The Foodstore, we offer vocational opportunities alongside personal development. By contributing to the local community in a meaningful way, whether this is through our Foodstore or local allotment scheme, we also encourage ethical and sustainable practices.
Our Social Enterprise promotes Sturts Community Trust as a resource within our local community, and the activities available include: • Day opportunities for adults with learning disabilities
• Social farming activities based on our biodynamic farm and market garden • Our weekly market stall at the Lantern Community near Ringwood • Our new initiative to offer allotment spaces for local people on our farm
