Changes to Canadian Citizenship Act would come into effect from 11 th October
New Canada Visa Process The federal government of Canada has declared few changes to Canada Citizenship Act that would come into effect from Wednesday 11th October 2017.
Canada Immigration Minister Ahmed Hussen made this announcement in Ontario province of the country at a press conference. The significant changes that were made include the minimization of the need of physical presence for Canada Permanent Residents towards qualifying for the citizenship of the country, from the period of four to three years. According to Hussen, Many permanent residents of the country would be able to apply for Canada Citizenship earlier.
