Onowa Eco-Luxury Resort Towards 2019, the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism is intensifying development in the tourism sector and setting ten priority tourism destinations that are expected to become Indonesian and foreign tourist destinations for coming and holidaying, also called 10 new Bali destinations. One of the ten destinations is Wakatobi, located in Southeast Sulawesi. Wakatobi Islands have high potential to become tourist attractions, especially underwater nature tourism. In addition, the culture that is still thick and other natural beauty on each island can also be another tourist destination that can be visited by tourists. Even though the natural and cultural potential is high as a tourist attraction, the accommodations in the Wakatobi Islands are still not as good as on other tourist islands in Indonesia. Until now, the accommodations provided by the government in Wakatobi and the private sector are mostly only on modest and moderate quality, and only a few have very good quality. In connection with the government’s plan to intensify development in three aspects, namely attraction, accessibility, and amenities, tourism accommodation with international quality becomes important in supporting tourism development plans in Indonesia.

The site is on the fragrant island, the northernmost island of the Wakatobi archipelago facing the open sea. The site has coral rock as far as 300 meters from the coastline. To take the advantage of the natural existing, resort design area utilizes the presence of coral as a foundation for overwater villas. Overwater villa becomes an important point in the design of the resort. The design of this house was inspired by the residence of a famous tribe in the Wakatobi, tribe Bajo. In addition, stay in villa on the water provides a unique experience for visitors and can create a sense of being close to the real nature.

The shape of villas and facilities is inspired from a traditional food of Wakatobi archipelago, Kukure. Kukure is another form of sea urchin that doesn’t poisionous and doesn’t have horns.

Futurarc Prize 2018 Competition As a capital city, Jakarta city is the most dense city amongs all city in Indonesia. Jakarta is projected to grow denser every year. A lot of comers comes and looking for a job in Jakarta. This thing get worsen on economic center area such as Tanah Abang, Jakarta. Tanah Abang itself is one sub-district in Cental of Jakarta City. Here, we can find the biggest textile market in South East Asean. They sell clothes and other fabric all around world. This strategic location makes people comes and stay here. However, how much the people come just make the space for residence is more dense. It makes the squatter area for the residential. Many ‘houses’ is built beside train railway or on the river side. This squatter area of housing with over populated people is sure not a good place to life.

HOW GUYUB WORKS? GUYUB is the Indonesian terms for harmonious, friendly or peaceful. GUYUB brings the new concept of vertical living that is more fit to Indonesian culture of living. What GUYUB do is reconstuct the living culture on the landed housing to vertical housing that accomodates higher desity population. This new concept of vertical housing can grew over time, increase the community bound, making self dependent food and energy supply and has a good impact for the bigger urban fabric. In order to achieve that living structure, there are 4 main concepts that applied to GUYUB housing.

INCREMENTAL HOUSING

BLENDED CIRCULATION

The program of every unit will grow over time depends on the occupants needs. With 8x8 meters space and height of 5.5 meters, the occupants can expand their own building up and side. The expantion is depends of occupants’ needs anda ability.

The common vertical housing apartment is only accomodate the social interaction horizontally. With the arrangement of circular ramp shaped makes the interaction is not limited by the building level so it can increase the occupants interaction.

VERTICAL FARMING

SMART-LIGHTWEIGHT MODULAR CONSTRUCTION

The food source supply is obtain indepedently through the vertical garden and the backyard garden on every unit. The garden is build without border in every unit to make the garden is shared space that increasing communication between the occupants. The garden that every unit have is also take role as the air filtration that can absorb the carbon on the city.

The house of each unit is constructed with fixed-sized modul that can be easily to assembly. The building constructing process is better to be done together with another occupants in order to increase the sense of community between the ocupants.

Modular housing unit The module of housing is made from the metal hollow and GRC board. There are 3 different module for 3 different function that can be arranged together like a lego block.

INDEPENDENT SOURCE OF FOOD, WATER AND ENERGY Green roof and rain water harvesting Water is an element that cannot be separated in our daily activities. Utilizing space on the roof of a building, which is rarely used, becomes an area for planting and collecting rain water so that it can be used daily. Utilizing the green roof function as a rainwater filter that will be accommodated next. This building will be independent in its clean water and its utilization can be maximized according to the needs of each family.

Urban Farming To achieve food security in each region at least every family can produce its own food. Starting from growing vegetables and fruits which become personal consumption every day and better if you can give it to others. Further development, the yield of vegetables and fruit produced can be sold in the markets and the nearest sales unit so that it can also generate income for the family.

SPACE THAT CAN PROVOKE INTERACTION Space for people too much space is given to inanimate objects so that good interactions are not created. the space given to humans will be well defined. humans will naturally interact with other humans. these spaces will be shaped like parks, playgrounds, urban forests, rivers, and so forth. various other functions can be formed around this space such as offices, shops, museums, and other recreational functions.

Redefine river The border of the river that has been abandoned should be used as public spaces that still pay attention to the safety of the river. As a result of this utilization will make the river a recreational and research facility. the development of animals and plants can be increasingly diverse where the function of food will always be fulfilled at the border of a river that is already beautiful. Public space can be utilized for human needs to socialize. Various activities can be accommodated and can provide new colors for the Tanah Abang region itself.

Playground land for children to play provides happiness Park provide space to gather, play, and interact between humans Vertical park the park which was once on the ground was also lifted vertically along with the house Amphiteather art performances that used to be rarely seen will begin to appear to the surface

Forest city the city’s lungs are a vital function that is rarely considered River front Abandoned riverbanks will be remade to attract visitors Skywalk forest city Walking in the city’s forests will give you cool air Great pedestrian way invite people to walk on comfortable sidewalks

LIVING WITH THE NATURE Park and forest-ity Population density and traffic density play a large role in producing excessive CO2. Comfort of space will be disturbed by it so that the existing spaces will become negative spaces. The settlement can be done by human hands or by nature itself. Greening is one way to handle it. Giving this space indirectly also provides space for animals and plants to coexist with humans in an exotic way. This combination is called mutualism.

Trees that can absorb the biggest CO2

This list of plants recommended to be planted in the city so that they can absorb more CO2.

Reactivate the river The riverbank area is reactivated and made into public space. This border area is freed from wild buildings and planted with various kinds of vegetation. The vegetation on the river banks can be a place for developing river ecosystems.

WINDMILL AS ELECTRIC GENERATOR The big flow of wind on the top of building is used to gain electricity

SPONGE BUILDING The vegetation on perimeter of the building absorb the carbon emmision around the building

SOLAR PANEL The solar panel placed in the smaller building to turn solar energy to electricity

RECIPROCITY TO THE ENVIRONMENT Sponge system Every unit is equipped with a backyard garden to planting. It will makes the whole building acts like a sponge. It absorbs the carbon as tree is planted on every level of the building. So where the building is built, it will absorb the carbon around.

Incremental housing A vertical house cannot accommodate all the wishes of its inhabitants. A vertical house cannot provide all the wishes of its occupants. Providing space for residents to explore their needs and abilities for habitation is the right choice where they can adjust their needs and abilities.

T i m e

If this concept is implemented in Jakarta, there will be a decrease in carbon content so that the city of Jakarta will become a cooler city. This reduction in carbon content will have an impact on the greenhouse effect and the average temperature rise in Jakarta can be restrained.

Cycling Strategy This strategy is stated by J. Christopher Jones in his design method book. The building process is divide into stages based on the user need. Every stage of buiding process can assure that the user can use the house. To begin the next stage of building, the previous stage should be done first until all stages is completed and maximize the space’s potential.

Tapi matahari tetap disana Yakin besok ia bermekaran lagi 19/03/17 Sapaan Laut

Bila rasa menjelma warna Akankah ia putih seputih awan?

(WSW)

Make Up,

Mood Booster dalam Ber-arsitektur

40

Ketertarikannya pada make up sudah timbul sejak ia kecil, tapi ia baru

(HP)
