Synopsis: The Cloud. A media library for Millennials. THE 3 MAIN FEATURES OF THE PROJECT. Data Driven Design: Architectural particularity of the project The architectural design process uses technological processes from Parametric Design softwares - (see grasshopper definition below) The intelligent double reflective Aluminum skin mimics the movement of the Clouds, from which the name of “Digital Cloud. The double skin is interrupted by boolean differences in spherical solids, thus opening from the inside the visibility towards the city, and from the outside a breakthrough towards the agora; a mineral space full of exchange for communities. The parametric design of the double skin means that the facade is constantly changing, the sun shades installed rotate in rotation by an angle of 90 degrees, coded on predefined and variable parameters in particular: The movement of the sun - The need for light - Temperature regulation - Human movement. This data can be collected from the outside environment (Weather Data .epw). And from inside the building (Sensor Data). The project thus changes its facade permanently, it changes over time. Intelligent User, Serendipity & Smart Discovery: The human is at the center of intelligence, it is the engine of operation of the building. It assists in data collection; age groups, common interests, links ... etc (through social networks - data minig - data linguistics, collections & books ordered, fields of interest ... etc). Data can therefore Influence user learning. It gives him new horizons of interest based on his preferences. Serendipity is at the heart of the Project. The project will play the role of a playground for researchers and innovators interested in: the ecology of the building, their long-term life, the behavior of the public that use the space. It will help in the development of more advanced concepts, and will use this rare collected data as a financial engine in an Entreprenarial approach to Data.

PARAMETRIC MODELING SKETCHBOOK
GENERALIFE BATHS The site is located on the hills of Serra Nevada In Andalusia, Granada - Spain, a few meters ahead of the historical San Cristobal Mirador and the Alhambra. The site used to be a Patio Garden for an ancient palace. After its degrdation, the locals managed to turn the site into a public space. The site was not very well mainta ined, the vegetation was very degraded and it was less and less visited. The idea is to revive the old aesthetic function of the Islmaic Gardens, using the materiality of minerals, the aquatic and the vegetal. Â The volume is adapted to maximize views, it was carved to suite the site slope.
The basic stratification of the program leaves space for green terraces to develop, reaching the panoramic view over the AlbaicÏn, the historical moorish neighborhood; a declared World Heritage Site along with Alhambra. The monumental vegetalized façade blends into the site. It borrows by its openings the architectural language of the traditional physical surrounding built in the islamic period. The contemporary gesture of rotating the elliptical arches reduces the impact of the monumental concrete volume; giving more porosity and visibility to the mass.

Contemporary Art Museum of Fez The city of Fez is well known for it’s historical Medina, the cultural life is what brings tourists from all over the world, to witness the 600 years old urbanism and built heritage. The site is located on the edge of the new city, rotating towards the old one - Atransit of 10 minutes rides seperates the new from the old. This is the case of urbanism that privileges the natural and cultural landscape of the city. The project was put in a plaza, a central gap in the city that links the new to the old and permits a natural flow of people from day to night. The museum morphology is inspired by the moroccan tents, a place of exhibition, hospitality and wealth. The patio offers daylight to the interiors, and assures heat exchange to the exterior. Semi-opaque, it reveals from its exhibition levels a panormaic view to the medina and the green landscape.

SMART CITY PROJECT AL IRFANE
In an existing fabric, the biggest academic center of Morocco’s capital Rabat is becoming an outdated version for what it has been in the late 80’s when it was built. The Urban planning that we sought focuses on the integration of the users, it forms a melting pot for buisnesses, housing, and academic research. The program focuses on 3 magnet zones : Business distric, art distric, and academic facilites. We wanted to integrate housing as a motor, increasing livelihood, mobility and social inclusion of the surrounding neighbourhoods that alreasy exist. The focus was put on the mix of usage typologies, and temporalities to enhance the possible interactions between the actors. The first step was to eradicates exterior enclosurs of the schools, offering free entries using a robust security system, a trust mechanism was the best suitable tool for integrating students . A green belt connects the outer city and the site that was once disconnected from the urban fabric by transportation infrastructure (train rail, freeway, and tramway) offering places for sports, landscape installations, and urban farming to increase the sense of belonging. The buisness district is the economic motor of the zone, it offers working spaces for the students, and a possibiliy of exange with the professional world. In the secong part of the exercice we were told to detail two projects, the cultural hub, and one housing zone.

TIFAWINE LIGHT DESIGN The Volubilis site is a heritage site par excellence in the Fes-Meknes region. Overlooked by the village of Moulay Driss Zerhoun, and being one of the rare Roman remains, it offers an exceptional and unique landscape of contemporary Morocco. The site is perceived by a majority as a getaway space, where the morphology of the ordinary city changes. A kind of alienation where each of the visitors finds himself in it. In her latest film, “Volubilis, Faouzi Bensaidi chooses the site as the getaway for a couple in love with the city of Meknes and retranslates the tensions generated by the vital need of contemporary Moroccan society. The film has won several international awards and the scenography filmed in Volubilis is considered by critics to be worthy of a Godard film. Volubilis is gradually regaining its international cultural / artistic connotation and needs special attention. Unfortunately, this site can only be visited in the morning, the Roman remains remain unknown and indistinguishable at night. The challenge today is to be able to light up the entire Roman city, taking into account regulatory, historical and environmental constraints. Particular care must be taken to enhance the large scale of the site, and have it revisited at night, highlighting its full sensory potential. We started from the observation that we need to define two significantly specific atmospheres: The Morning atmosphere where exploration, discovery of heritage and guided tours. The Nocturne atmosphere where the promenade prevails, where the pedestrian circuits could offer a second sensory reading of the city. The heights and topography, the view frames, the different tones and light contrasts will offer a multitude of choices of discovery. Our approach focuses on the architectural essentials, but also to challenge the personal sensory fiber of each visitor.
Sensitivity to Landscape: In our approach, we had to understand the site as a living corpus, the purpose of which is to preserve the sustainability of life of an old urban entity. So we had to: Understanding the context: A historic site of high archaeological and especially tourist potential. Reconnect with history: The creative genesis of the site is that of the Roman city: two axes which freeze the structuring grid of the city; the Decumanus Maximus (North South Axis - Bab Tanger towards L’arc de Triomphe and the Cardo Maximus which is no longer found on the ground. Understanding the Architectural Language: The study of proportions, gabaris, formal communications between large buildings and visible entities of the site. Fix visual frames: Take a photographic approach in order to find interesting points of view allowing you to see specific details and architectural elements of the site during the walk. Respect the fauna and enhance the flora: Illuminate the tree-lined and flowered passages, and reduce the intensity where the fauna is present. Stork nest on columns, oleander and cypress flowers ... LIGHT PARTY: LIGHT / DARK - LANDSCAPE- DUSK
The idea came to us as a metaphor for twilight, this warm natural light that invades the ruins on the south side at sunset and projects itself onto the facades of monuments, invading the arches of the arches. This time contrast lasts approximately 30 minutes and our project is presented as a continuation of this landscape spectacle. The lighting therefore comes strongly on the south side and dims while going to the dark side of the facades. From the entrance of the site, the scenography takes place. The goal is to create different atmospheres, and therefore 3 different circuits to take which end up joining the Ax Decumanus Maximus, and therefore, the meeting point near the Arc de Triomphe. Tourist Circuit 1: It is rather a vegetal lighting circuit, which extends over 1km, it allows the walk invaded by the foliage of the trees and the flowers of oleander, the buildings are far from sight. Tourist circuit 2: It is the most used circuit, it allows the passage by the visual frames set up, and to see the light side of each building. This is the show-on circuit. Soft Light Circuit: This is the show-off circuit; set up after the introduction to the visual frames which highlight and prioritize the Roman architectural elements; columns, massive lintels and the rhythm of the easements. This circuit is a wandering stroll, in soft, dim light, lit by repair and half-light. The circuit highlights the human and architectural silhouettes drawn in contrast. We realize our scale in relation to the majesty of the Roman arches and columns. The mound is the town's cemetery. It is the highest point on the site, it allows a panoramic view. It was for us the end of the 3 circuits and the point of contemplation of the landscape. A particular lighting is given to him serving as visual catch which invites towards the discovery of the whole site.
The path of the senses The place is thought of as a space of possibilities, where encounters are created around a contemporary aquatic line. A single triggering gesture is enough: bringing water back to the square, using a system inspired by the traditional Noria (Water mill). The place is highlighted, as a place of life, meeting, relaxation, but also always of passage and leisure. The project does not impose anything, its minimalism guarantees the free appropriation of each and the enhancement of the architectural heritage. Street furniture completes the main axis, and multiple seating possibilities by offering olfactory comfort through aromatic plantations opposite the Tannery Chouarine.
Furniture offering shade and olfactory atmospheres through endemic Moroccan aromatic plantations and fruit trees.
The management of waste is done through boxes excavated in the walls at the edge of the river. Stairs will be fitted, the bridge is widened to pass the trolleys of waste or goods.
WE ALWAYS CROSS IN BOATS Installation In Morocco, landscapes are mutating and metamorphosing at full speed. The Bouregreg Valley, in-between the cities of Rabat and Salé, is today at the heart of urban development. It is the subject of large-scale projects. How to think of the urban landscape in the metropolises of the south? The New South collective presents a poetic and sensitive reading of the Bouregreg valley, through an artistic work entitled “Le Nuage”. An invitation to imagine, reflect and take a stand. “Le Nuage” is an immersive, kinetic work which is built on an understanding of the current process of metamorphosis in the Bouregreg valley. It represents an inverted topography of the valley, created through a cloud of points. This cloud is made of sinkers, hung on nylon threads suspended from a canopy of fishing nets. This complex material tells a story of the Valley, that of the fishermen: key actors, witnesses of the theater of the city’s transformations, storytellers of the collective memory and first occupants of this place. The Cloud is associated with a scaffolding structure, which materializes the reality / fantasy duality, and which also generates an experimental and contemporary artistic space.
