SUM #105 THE 2020 EDITION

Reflect Day by day disaster it strikes, The cloud up above getting heavier, The deep-rooted feeling of the ground, Breaking from underneath at any minute. Lost here in this moment, Without patience when everything unravels. This chapter of a never ending story: I wish it was a box of stars, Forever framed within. Reflecting light when opened, It’s growing dim, And I can’t seem to tell it apart anymore.

Where are we? I’m trying to figure it out, Without luck, peeling the layers, A doll, inside a doll, inside a doll. I’m not crawling on my knees just yet, Sometimes it’s rock-hard or worse, Like trying to catch the silence where it sings, Coming apart at the seams.

Like waking up underwater and Now I can’t breath, Just standing at the bottom, Eyes wide, and curse.

Patience: I’ve heard the word before, But it never meant much more, Than just a thing I always had, Until now. I wanna make it an abandoned memory, A book, but filled with blank pages. Keeping our heads high, Hoping for a safe place to land.
