DameAnna Wintour is a British-American journalist and editor who has been editor-in-chief of Vogue since 1988 and artistic director for Condé Nast, Vogue’s publisher, since 2013. With her trademark pageboy bob haircut and dark sunglasses, Wintour has become an important figure in much of the fashion world, widely praised for her eye for fashion trends and her support for younger designers. Her reportedly aloof and demanding personality has earned her the nickname “Nuclear Wintour”.
Vogue is an American monthly fashion and lifestyle magazine covering many topics including fashion, beauty, culture, living, and runway based in New York City. Vogue began as a weekly newspaper, first published based in New York City in 1892 in the United States, before becoming a monthly publication years later.
The British Vogue was the first international edition launched in 1916, while the Italian version Vogue Italia has been called the top fashion magazine in the world. As of today, there are 23 international editions.
In July 1988, after Vogue had begun to lose ground to three-yearold upstart Elle, Anna Wintour was named editor-in-chief. Noted for her trademark bob cut and sunglasses, Wintour sought to revitalize the brand by making it younger and more approachable; she directed the focus towards new and accessible concepts of “fashion” for a wider audience. Wintour’s influence allowed the magazine to maintain its high circulation, while staff discovered new trends that a broader audience could conceivably afford. For example, the inaugural cover of the magazine under Wintour’s editorship featured a three-quarter-length photograph of Michaela Bercu, an Israeli model, wearing a bejeweled Christian Lacroix jacket and a pair of jeans, a departure from her predecessors’ tendency to portray a woman’s face alone; according to The New York Times, this gave “greater importance to both her clothing and her body”.
“You don’t have to care”
- Gigi’s quote -
BE YOURSELF. PEOPLE DON’T HAVE TO LIKE YOU, BUT YOU DON’T HAVE TO CARE!
Considering Gigi Hadid is one of the most popular supermodels in the world, it’s no surprise she’s a pro at transforming her look — on and off the runway! The Los Angeles native has changed so much since her early days on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Needless to say, it does not mean being arrogant, conceited or thinking that you are better than anyone else. It means having a healthy regard for yourself knowing that you are a worthy human being. It is important to remind ourselves that no one is perfect.

Thehalf-Palestinian supermodel grew up riding horses with her sister, fellow catwalker Bella Hadid, and used to competitively show-jump during her teen years.. The model might not compete any more, but she still hops on a horse when she can, and regularly reveals on social media just how much she misses the sport. With the Hadid siblings growing up on a ranch for around 10 years, according to the Evening Standard, a love of horse-riding also developed in sister Bella.
