The Pumpkin Patch Oil on canvas, 36 x 24 inches

Gail Clark began drawing when she was very young and always knew that she would be an artist. Her studio sits on a waterfall across from an island in the river. The natural beauty of the landscape and the animals that live there have been the inspiration for much of her art.

Gail holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in painting and a bachelor’s degree in art education. As a painter, she has exhibited her work widely in both solo and group regional shows and has been selected for national juried shows. As an art educator, she taught grades K-12 in public and private schools and held group lessons for adults in her studio.

Combining her painting and educational backgrounds was a natural path to creating her first picture book.

Gail lives in the coastal town of Yarmouth, Maine, with her husband and two French bulldogs. Over the years, all of her Frenchies have been certified therapy dogs who bring happiness to the people they visit.
