1. M-film Air

Smartfilm

An advanced LDPE-based material developed by Mainetti. M-film Air Smartfilm allows us to produce thinner polybags without compromising performance. This is the simplest and most straightforward green initiative as less material is consumed right at the beginning of the manufacturing process.

M-film Air Smartfilm retains all the advantages of LDPE in terms of clarity, ease of heat sealing and level of slip. In addition, it also achieves greater tensile strength, which delivers similar benefits to MDPE/HDPE.

Recycled Material

Recycled Material Bags with recycled content are becoming increasingly popular and are ideal for the eco-conscious consumers. Recycled materials can be returned to the supply chain. All of our M-film Air recycled materials go through a stringent selection process and we strongly advocate for the introduction of more recycled materials in the production process.

2. M-film Land

Almost 80% of all plastic ends up in a landfill. The inclusion of an organic additive during bag production significantly enhances the rate of biodegradation of our M-film Land products in a typical landfill environment. It has no effect on the properties of the plastic until it enters landfill conditions and therefore, there are no shelf life issues. M-film Land products will generally biodegrade within 1-5 years.

Once M-film Land products encounters landfill conditions, the additive attracts microbes to the plastic which will start the biodegradation process. After the process is finished, all that will be left of the M-film Land product will be biomass, carbon dioxide, and methane.

3. M-film Earth

M-film Earth refers to biodegradable and compostable resin-based products that have been derived from renewable resources. It complies with American and European standards (ASTM D6400 and EN13432), and can be biodegraded in any industrial composting plant that provides high temperature, high moisture and the requisite amount of oxygen. M-film Earth products return to our planet in the form of nutrient-rich biomass, water, and carbon dioxide.
