Artist Statement This research revolves around the psychological and social dogma of looking things from the other angle title as “The Other Side”It reflects the concept and ideology of those things which are ignored by an ordinary eye. My work presents the whole story of experiences which I had gained throughout my life. These paintings represent the fact that considering the front ignorance of the other side.People usually do not pay attention towards those aspects which are really worthy for us, being an artist so it is important to others as well to pay attention towards these aspects. In every aspect of life there are sometimes fake outcomes but reasons are always truth behind,So, behind on every front there is a considerable reason exists. As everything has its other side like day and night, right and wrong, up and down, front and back and many more.People actually pay attention to fronts only and they ignore the other side which is also very important and considerable. I have accomplished my work so realistically that it is portraying a complete sense of illusion. By creating such an illusion my aim was to make my viewers observation keen and deep. It was my attempt to make a difference socially and psychologically in an artistic way.It is a saying that “first impression is the last impression” but to me it is not always true. I usually find people different as they look or behave, so my whole experience is based on this phenomenon. By attempting this experience I have gained different moods of life especially human nature and behavior. As I believe in reality, my work reveals these facts, simplicity, realism and human activities which are the main qualities of my work.For this purpose I have opted oil colors applied on the canvas. I have used large and small both sizes. The technique I had chosen is quite interesting and known as trompe-l'oel and it is used to create a perfect illusion. The used products are oil on canvas, oil on board, knife and brush work. I had made canvas as a wooden texture board in some paintings and I made hard texture into soft texture as per my work demands. The style was simple and realistic.
