RESILIENCE Fall/Winter 2018-2019 will be a season of resilience. Resilience is the process of adapting when faced with adversity, trauma, tragedy, or threats. In order to see a season of resilience we must fight our demons and face them head on fearlessly. Currently, we are plagued with political unrest, racism, hate, fear. The world is in a state of uncertainty. We are fearful of failure, exile, and loss of materialistic needs. How do we overcome a society filled with narcissism, greed, and lack of creativity? Entrepreneurs, writers, designers, creatives, innovators, and scientists need to speak louder. To capture the attention of the masses in a way to force them to open their eyes to the bigger picture. We are all human, we all suffer, we all feel, no one person is better than another. To spread the word of resilience means to spread the word of acceptation, gratitude,understanding, and freedom, which is what the world really needs to see right now. To be resilient, one most overcome their fears. They must “bounce back� from hitting rock bottom. With a season of resilience, the themes will consist of survival, vibrance, rebound, strength, & daring. The colors of Fall and Winter will have variations of warm oranges, reds, pinks to cool greens, blues, purples, and grays. Fabrics include velvet, fur, suede, corduroy, knits, leather, wool, silk, and synthetics. Patterns are bold with prints of florals, stripes, dots, and much more. To be resilient beings, we must also look the part. Fall & Winter 2018-2019 will be the change society needs to see, it will be the season of resilience. - MAKALA MULDER

The art of survival is a story that never ends. We are born to live, to endure, to survive the challenges and tribulations of life. Fall/Winter 2018-2019 will be a season of survival. We will have overcome many obstacles and will feel a sense of relief and ease into the new season. This theme will have fabrics consisting of fur, silk, wool, leather, cashmere - fabrics that protect the body from the harshness of winter. Prints and colors are calm and add a feel of softness. The art of survival is a beautiful and fearful thing but that is the way of life.

VIBRANCE 1. pushing or throbbing with energy or activity
After survival comes the beauty of vibrance. The vitality of being, exuding positive energy and going forth into life with a vibrant force. This theme has fabrics such as sequins, leather, silk, velvet, fur, suede, and more. The colors are bright yet soft consisting of purple and pink hues. The patterns are bold and brave. Vibrance will set the tone of optimism that Fall/Winter 2018-2019 will radiate throughout the season.

Recently, we have seen the world in a disarray of chaos. In Fall/Winter 2018-2019 there will be a season of Rebound. Fabrics we will see during the season of Rebound are suede, corduroy, knits, wool, silk, sherpa, and cashmere. Colors are cool greens and warm oranges, reds, and browns. Prints are natural, inspired by animal prints and prints found in nature. This season we will overcome our disheartened mentality with Perseverance and strength.

STRENGTH 1. moral power, firmness, or courage
Strength creates a vision of energy, it is a force of nature. With strength you can endure the challenges that life throws at you. The fabrics of the season can withstand
the bitterness of winter. The colors are warm reds and cool blues with patterns and prints that are bold and daring.

DARING
1. bold or courageous; fearless or intrepid adventurous The last theme of the season of Fall/Winter 2018-2019 is Daring. A Daring season emphasizes a valiant spirit of adventure. This season there will be fabrics full of texture with prints and patterns that dare the buyer to be dauntless throughout the season. To live a Resilient life in 2018-2019, we all must be daring and brave.
