TOP GRAM MEGHAN SMOLKA is a photographer based in Northern California. “After an engagement photo shoot at the Cypress Tree Tunnel, I managed to beat the crowds to the Point Reyes shipwreck on my way back toward San Francisco,” she says. She captured the photo of the iconic decaying fishing boat near Inverness by carefully strategizing to get the perfect shot. “After moving around the ship with my 14mm lens, I decided to utilize the shallow puddle and added texture and movement by throwing a rock into the water right before shooting,” she explains.
