TOUCH OF ROMANCE
4.
1. Start with fresh dry hair and an off side part (or middle if you prefer). 2. Take vertical sections, about 1.5-2 inches wide, and spray with a setting
lotion or medium hold hairspray. Comb through then wrap hair around conical wand firmly, starting from just above the ear down, curling in the same direction all the way around the head.
3. Allow hair to cool then brush curls out with a bristle brush, working downwards.
4. Finish by softly 'fluffing' hair with a tease comb (one with prong ends works a treat) then spritz with hairspray.
Master Tip
“If you would like your hair to sit off your face then be sure to curl the first sections of hair, on either side of your face, away from the face and not towards.

HAIR
TOUCH OF ROMANCE
1. Working with the curls from Look 1, comb a low side part into hair. 2. Then split hair into a large front section. From side part over to mid ear on opposite side.
3-4. Taking the front section create a French braid starting from the side part all the way down. Place a clip at end of plait to stop it unraveling until ready to pin in at end of ....
5-6. Tease crown to add height then brush hair back to smooth and gather
the sides around to the back, crossing one side over the other and clipping it into place. (Clip up into hair to hide the clip.) CONTINUED OVER PAGE...

7-9. Now take a lower section of hair from both sides and cross over at the back, this time pulling both sides firmly into the base of the hair that's been left out and securing them into place with bobby pins - creating a low ponytail look.
10-11. Finish by fluffing the 'ponytail' with a prong ended comb and
pulling a little on the braid to loosen the look up a bit, before securing it to the side and back of hair. Spray to set. PS: Tuck end of braid under one of the crossed over panels to keep it looking tidy.
Master Tip
“For a 'grungier' hair look apply a 'beach hair' spray or hair powder to create more texture. CREDITS: Hair by Lisa Matson / Model: Wendy / Photography by Mike Rooke

TWIST IT LOOK #1
Quick & easy style.

7.
1. Start with clean dry hair. If you have naturally straight hair add a spritz of texturizing spray to damp hair and rough dry to give it that tousled look.
2. With a tail comb take a diagonal section that goes all the way back to the crown and down to the back of the ear.
3-4. Divide hair into 2 sections bring this towards the front and start twisting. Do this all the way down to ear level bringing hair down into the twist.
5. Once you get to ear level secure the twist with a bobby pin, leaving the rest of the hair out.
6. Start another twist on the other side, begin from the back of the ear and as
with the front twist, adding in sections of hair as you go. Finish the twist about an inch away from the end of the first twist, secure this with a bobby pin leaving the rest of the hair out.
7. If you want to add more of a wave to the hair that's been left out, use a Wahl triple tong, or just use a normal single barrel tong.

TWIST IT
5.
1-3. Repeat the steps from Look 1. 4. Take the length of hair left out and twist this all the way to the end. 5. Wind twisted hair length up into a side bun. Make sure it's sitting close to the head before securing with bobby pins - you'll need at least 4-5 to go around. Change it up. Create the same twist effect as in step 3, but change what you do with the hair left out... Plait it - try a classic plait or go for a little more pizazz with a fish plait. Change the texture - curl hair with different tools like conicals or straightening irons to
change the look or get the crimpers out for a little retro action.
