WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MELAMINE AND MICROPURE™ MATERIAL?
Melamine offers a variety of benefits that have made it a popular choice for foodservice application for decades. Its highly durable and break-resistant properties mean less breakage and replacement costs for your business. We use only 100% pure melamine in our dinnerware, produced domestically, to ensure your food is served on top-quality products. Melamine can be molded in a spectrum of colors and can be decorated easily. It’s perfect for casual dining indoors and outdoors, buffets, patio dining and quick serve environments.
HOW TO CARE FOR MELAMINE AND MICROPURE DINNERWARE
Micropure is a proprietary high-temp material developed by NTL Brands™ that is heat- and stain-resistant. Safe in freezer, storage, dishwasher, microwave, conventional and convection ovens (up to 400° F), Micropure provides a superior alternative to fine china or ceramic tableware without the breakage. Available in white, this material can provide a superior option for foodservice businesses with high heat needs for kitchen and dinnerware menus.
• Don’t use abrasive cleaning tools like steel wool, because they can scratch and cause wear.
• Don’t put melamine in a microwave oven. The high temperatures can cause your dishes to warp or melt. Don’t put melamine dishes in a conventional or convection oven, either.
• Avoid cutting directly on your melamine or Micropure products with a serrated knife to prevent nicks and scratches.
• Do pre-soak your dinnerware if you have stuck-on food or a particularly stubborn stain.
• Do put melamine and Micropure plates in your dishwasher if you want— they’re dishwasher-safe! However, be aware that the dishwasher can fade your dinnerware’s colors somewhat. For commercial dishwashers, use toprack only.

• Avoid cutting directly on your smallware items with a serrated knife or other sharp utensils to prevent nicks and scratches on the surface of the plate.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MELAMINE & SAN MATERIAL? Styrene Acrylonitrile (or better known as SAN) is the common plastic material we use in our Gessner smallware items. Pieces made with SAN are usually best for quick serve restaurants, buffets and cafeterias. The difference between our melamine and SAN materials is that SAN is chemical resistant, heat resistant and scratch resistant. Because of these combined properties, SAN has some limitations in terms of color. Melamine is also a plastic material, that is nearly unbreakable and can be found in casual restaurants, hospitality, schools, stadiums, concession stands, hotels and healthcare industries. Because melamine is lighter than porcelain and china, it’s easier for the wait staff to carry and can be made with different colors and designs. While our smallware items are designed to be stain resistant, if certain foods like tomatoes are left on tableware too long, it can be stained by food. Melamine material is lightweight but has a sturdy, inflexible feel. It is virtually indestructible and is ideal for children or outdoor use. For best dishwasher results, place smallware items on top rack. MELAMINE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR OVEN, MICROWAVE OR STOVE TOP USE AND SHOULD NOT BE HEATED WITH FOOD ON IT. Gessner smallware items are all BPA-free, FDA Approved and safe to use.
• Do use soft sponges when you clean your melamine and SAN items by hand.
• Never soak in any abrasive cleaning solutions.

Merchandise may only be returned with authorization, and must have an RGA number provided by NTL Brands, Ltd. We are unable to accept unauthorized returns. Claims must be received within 7 days of invoice date.

HOW LONG DOES PRODUCTION AND DELIVERY TAKE? Production time varies based on product - see individual brand sections for details. For an order to be considered ready for production, we must have the following information to proceed: purchase order number, billing address, item number, description, color(s), quantity, ship date requested, shipping method, ship-to address and any other special instructions. If placing an exact reorder, reference to previous purchase order will help expedite your order. Custom colors not represented in the catalog require longer lead times and different minimum order quantities. Please contact your sales representative for further details.
CAN I MAKE CHANGES TO MY ORDER? Changes must be confirmed in writing and will impact shipping time. Changed orders will not be guaranteed to ship as originally scheduled.
