» LED lighting is used effectively to bounce light off the membrane creating an even, diffused light. We provide a computer-analysed lighting design on every project to ensure even light distribution.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT FABRIC FOR YOUR ROOF STRUCTURE
PTFE or PVC? One of the key considerations for your roof structure is the choice of fabric material. There are two main types of tensile fabrics that have been used extensively in Australia over the last 30 years and both are ideal as large-span tensile roofing materials, there is however, a cost difference between the two. The other key differences are highlighted below.

Durability & Aging Performance
» PVC Membrane: Widely used in architectural applications, PVC is an economical and durable choice. It requires regular maintenance but offers reliable performance for 20–25 years. MakMax uses premium, heavy-duty PVC for projects like bowling green canopies.
» PTFE Membrane: Known for its longer lifespan and higher translucency. PTFE roofs feel much brighter and lighter underneath due to the higher light transmission properties. PTFE is a premium option chosen by some of Australia’s most well-known undercover bowling facilities, such as Moama Bowls Club and Club Helensvale. The main advantage of PTFE over PVC is longevity – the additional cost of installing a PTFE roof will reap benefits over the extended life of the structure.
