The riot of what was happening struck me and I walked around the building several times before getting inside. An Icarus or a phoenix loomed in my mind, something very light burning flying, and literally soaring towards the blue sky. It was a golden flame rushing upward, and its broken shapes gave food for imagination with each new step and presented more and more new fantastic images to the eye. 15-16 | EXPOTECTURE ZINE The Bauhaus Archive building is one of the iconic constructivist buildings of the 60s. While in Berlin, I could not pass by the combination of flexible forms made of concrete and strict vertical almost shining lines. The form of this building reminded me of a seascape with sailboats breaking the wave, filling their sails with favorable winds. Autumn 2018 Berlin, Bauhaus Archives

A giant sea creature appeared on the horizon long before I could get to the building itself, the curves and lines of this building amazed the imagination and painted in it a giant whale located on the seacoast. Sun glare on his body reflected from the water only added imagery to this object, almost enlivening the frozen waves into life. This is representative of the most harmoniously inscribed architecture both in the context and in the environment. Spring 2018 Copenhagen, National Aquarium

27-28 | EXPOTECTURE ZINE By exploring the interiors of this library, it seems as if these modern caves were hewn by the nordic wildest winds and the sun’s rays repeat these monumental forms every day thru centuries. This building was designed relatively recently and is a great representative of parametric architecture. Summer 2018 Vienna, WU University Library

This series was inspired by the upwardflowing lines and such architectonic geometry was noticed by me almost everywhere. That’s a reason why I like megapolises, wondering how tall buildings hit the sky and exaggerate the perspective. Such lines appearing in an urban environment always attract the gaze of onlookers who lost themselves in the stone jungle. Stone and glass monoliths furrowing the gorges of cities and permanently strive to become the subject of the shot. Period from 2017 to 2019

53-54 | EXPOTECTURE ZINE Sometimes the buildings in my head become crags and I am a clamber using my eyes, twisting the view over and over again before I can find a foothold which really important for me. Concept or idea that may not have been the idea of the author of the building, but became the idea of the author of the image, embodying his fantasy at the moment and giving an excuse to see what was not possible to see before. Welcome to the giant skeleton. It is not known for certain in the womb of which creature we visited, but its remains testify to the colossal dimensions of this creature and, having penetrated into its interior, we will involuntarily notice that this beast has already managed to settle in our minds, drawing there more and more emotions as our journey inside this building filled with light and rhythm. The building of the railway station is not only the beginning and the end for many of its visitors, but in its essence immerses us in the world of a journey through our own imagination. It was not in vain that this object was chosen as the cover for the zine. In every architecture, it is incredibly important to move in order to catch the most advantageous angle of a particular building. This gigantic whirlwind is able to amaze you with every step more and more with every degree up the main staircase in this interior you find more and more fantastic forms, they seem to appear from nowhere and allow you to plunge into the world created by your imagination. It is this pattern that I always use when looking for good shots for architectural photography, I am not looking for beaten paths, but always listen to what space itself helps me discover. The symbolism of this building was known to me long before my visit. But when I finally get there, it began to seem to me that I was inside the clockwork and perhaps even play the role of one of its gears. Moving in one direction, all visitors seemed to wind up the mechanism of this clock and now the huge hands will begin to move, and with it, the entire landscape surrounding us, as if at a click, will begin to rotate around the center. I managed to feel an unrepeatable feeling of frozen flows in the middle of the concrete city by taking captures inside the dome in the government district of Bundestag. Autumn 2018 Berlin, Reichstag Dome
Words: Thanks to everyone who found this zine interesting and was able to fully experience the atmosphere of the architectural composition captured in the film photographs as I saw them through the lens of the camera. For me, a photography is more than a time machine. For me first of all, this is beyond the frame of the narrative. This is a way not only to capture what is happening at the moment, especially if we talk about a frozen on much centuries architecture, but it is also a way to conduct a capacious conversation and lead the viewer to the most important moments of what I saw through the viewfinder of the camera, it is a way which made possible to fully feel the atmosphere of the place, even without being there physically. This way of communication between the author and the viewer suits me and I was glad to spend with you this silent dialogue. Sincerely hope that this publication was able to put you into the world of architecture and made it possible to experience the emotions that I experienced in the process of creating these photographs.
With best wishes, человек за кадром.
