This paper shows strength of structural materials, design of tension & compression members, beams, slabs, and columns in both concrete and steel design with respect to each country pointed out with the history and evolution of the structure elements. Two main countries were chosen to be studied which were iraq and lebanon. This research explains deeply in the evolution of the structure and how the building materials were developed since the early time up to our day. It also describes how the culture and tradition of each country effects the building types and materials and how each country thinks. It also points out the similarities between the arab countries even though the life style is different from the other.
