Reflection This is my first time to know a designer deeply. I find to be a designer need to be diversified and enjoy life, like Philippe said,’ ‘In all my life, I never speak about design and architecture; I always speak about our life: our fight, our pain, our difficulties, our dreams, our vision, our utopia.’ Sometimes a good idea comes from our daily life, our personal view sight. When I look for his designs, a really interesting chair attract me, Emeco Hudson Rocking Chair.
It’s a single rocking chair, but the shape is totally different from the tradition-
al rocking chair.
Starck described the chair as “washing the details from the Navy Chair”
I try to design chairs, which are put in the gallery.
I visit some museums and galler-
ies, find the cool or dark color is main color, and the shapes are really normal, and some are even not comfortable.
For my finally design, I still use dark color, but I want to make
them more interesting and comfortable.
I think about swing, which make visitor hap-
py and like sit in a crib, shake slowly. When people visit the gallery, they can feel relaxed.
