Miniprint Internacional Rosario celebra 25 años de labor ininterrumpida convocando y uniendo a los artistas visuales de todo el mundo. En su 7º edición / 2017 este salón trienal de grabados de pequeño formato, nacido en la Escuela de Bellas Artes de la Facultad de Humanidades y Artes de la Universidad Nacional de Rosario, continúa generando vínculos culturales entre países de culturas distantes y hermanando a los artistas gráficos de todas las tendencias y nacionalidades. Su esencia enraiza en la construcción de un espacio participativo y diferente ya que se distingue por el intercambio de obras entre participantes, Miniprint Rosario envía dos estampas pertenecientes a otros artistas a cada uno de los seleccionados en el evento, además todos reciben un catálogo impreso con la totalidad de las imágenes en exhibición junto al certificado de participación.Y por último, la organización de muestras itinerantes en otras instituciones de Argentina, universidades y centros culturales es un valioso aporte que contribuye a la difusión del arte del Grabado.
01 • Podrán participar artistas visuales de todas las tendencias, nacionalidades y sin límite de edad. 02 • Cada artista deberá enviar dos (2) estampas iguales firmadas y numeradas, acreditando su multiejemplaridad con el cifrado de estampa y edición. No se aceptarán Pruebas de Artista. 03 • La imagen no podrá exceder los límites máximos de 10 cm x 10 cm. El formato papel debe ser de 18 cm x 18 cm. 04 • Los grabados pueden estar realizados en cualquiera de las técnicas de estampación reconocidas: xilografía, calcografía (aguafuerte, aguatinta, manera negra, mezzotinta, etc), collagraph, litografía, serigrafía, arte digital GCD (gráficos por computadora). Quedan explícitamente excluídos: monocopias, fotografías y fotocopias. 05 • Deberá completarse la ficha de participación con los datos del autor y de la obra. Las etiquetas se pegarán detrás de las obras con la información solicitada. Se recomienda enviar estos mismos datos al correo electrónico: miniprintrosario@fhumyar.unr.edu.ar 06 • Los miniprints debidamente firmados más la ficha de inscripción se enviarán vía postal en un sobre por correo certificado como “IMPRESO SIN VALOR COMERCIAL”, con la inscripción “NO DOBLAR”, sin paspartú, sin marco ni vidrio a: “7º Miniprint Internacional Rosario/ 2017.” María Elena Mainieri. 07 • Plazo para recepcion de obras: hasta el 31 de Mayo de 2017. 08 • Será nombrado un Jurado para la aceptación de las obras recibidas y se notificará esta decisión a los artistas seleccionados mediante correo electónico y publicación de su nombre en https://www.facebook.com/Miniprint-Rosario-229294350585127 09 • Premios: el jurado compuesto por profesionales del grabado otorgará cinco (5) premios de igual categoría, que serán reproducidos a tamaño natural y a todo color en el catálogo, el premio consiste en una exposición individual de diez (10) obras de pequeño formato de cada artista premiado en la 8º Edición MIniprint Internacional Rosario / 2020 y Diploma de Honor. Se entregarán 6 menciones. 10 • El Salón será inaugurado en el Museo Municipal de Bellas Artes Juan B. Castagnino de Rosario el día 29 de Septiembte de 2017. 11 • Tasa de participación: Argentina: $ 150. EEUU y demás países: U$S 35 - Europa y UK: € 35 Este arancel cubre la producción e impresión del catálogo en soporte papel y electrónico, material de montaje, organización de exposiciones itinerantes, material de difusión, envíos postales con intercambio de obras, catálogo y certificaciones. 12 • Para intercambio de obras y envío de catálogos plazo 1 año (aprox.) Al año siguiente (2018), se realizarán muestras itinerantes y finalizadas las mismas, los participantes seleccionados recibirán un catálogo impreso, certificado de participación y dos estampas de intercambio de otros artistas participantes. 13 • Miniprint Internacional Rosario se reserva el derecho de reproducir y exhibir todas o parte de las obras recibidas con fines culturales o de difusión. 14 • Aunque todas las obras se manejarán con el máximo cuidado la institución organizadora no responde por pérdidas o daños que puedan producirse en la recepción y devolución de las obras, ni mientras se encuentren en su poder. No se devolverán las obras que no cumplan exactamente estas bases. 15 • La participacion en el salón implica la aceptacion de las bases. Miniprint Internacional Rosario celebrates 25 years of uninterrupted work by summoning and bringing together visual artists from all over the world. In its 7th/2017 edition, this triennial exhibition of small-format prints conceived in the School of Fine Art of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts of the Rosario National University continues to promote cultural links among countries of diverse cultures and to foster a connection between graphic artists of varied artistic tendencies and nationalities. The essence of Miniprint Rosario is rooted in the creation of a unique space that promotes active participation by facilitating an artistic exchange among participants, as each selected artist is presented with two prints by fellow participants, and everybody receives a printed catalog containing the whole set of exhibited images along with their certificate of participation. And by organizing touring exhibitions in other institutions, universities, and cultural centers throughout Argentina, Miniprint Rosario further contributes to the advancement of the art of printmaking.
01 • This call for entries is open to visual artists of all artistic tendencies, nationalities, and ages 02 • Each artist shall submit two (2) identical prints which must be signed and numbered with the corresponding print and edition number to account for the condition of the works as multiples. Artist’s proofs will not be accepted. 03 • Each image shall be no bigger than 10 x 10 cm. Paper format must be 18 x 18 cm. 04 • All recognized printmaking techniques are eligible, including woodcuts, intaglio (etching, aquatint, mezzotint, etc.), collagraph, lithography, silkscreen, digital art (computer-generated graphics). Monoprints, photographs, and photocopies are explicitly excluded. 05 • An entry form must be completed with information pertaining to the artist and the work. A label including the required information shall be attached to the back of the each work. Applicants are also encouraged to submit this information via email to miniprintrosario@fhumyar.unr.edu.ar 06 • The signed miniature printings, which should be unframed, unmated, and uncovered by glass, along with the entry form must be placed in an envelope marked “DO NOT BEND” and sent via certified mail as “PRINTED MATTER OF NO COMMERCIAL VALUE” to: “7º Miniprint Internacional Rosario/ 2017.” María Elena Mainieri. 07 • Deadline for the reception of entries: May 31, 2017. 08 • A jury will be appointed for the selection of entries. Selected artists will be notified via e-mail and their names will be posted to: https://www.facebook.com/Miniprint-Rosario-229294350585127 09 • Awards: A jury will grant five (5) awards of equal category. Awarded artworks will be reproduced full-scale and in full color in the exhibition catalog. The award consists of the solo exhibition of ten (10) small-format works by each of the selected artists in the 8th edition of Miniprint Internacional Rosario / 2020 as well as an honorary diploma. Six honorable mentions will be granted. 10 • The exhibition will open on September 29, 2017 at the Juan B. Castagnino Museum in Rosario. 11 • U.S. and other countries: U$S35 – Europe and UK: €35 The fee covers the production and printing of the catalog both in paper and electronic formats, the cost of installation materials, organizational costs of the touring exhibitions, the cost of publicity materials, and the mailing of artworks, catalogs, and certificates to participants. 12 • The mailing of the artworks and the catalogs will take place over the course of approximately 1 year. A number of touring exhibitions will be held the following year (2018). Once these are over, selected participants will receive a printed catalog, a certificate of participation, and two prints by other artists in the exhibition. 13 • Miniprint Internacional Rosario reserves the right to reproduce and exhibit all or part of the submitted artwork for cultural or promotional purposes. 14 • While every piece of artwork will be handled with extreme care, the organizer wavers responsibility for any loss or damage that may occur during the reception and the returning of the works or while the works are in possession of the organizer. Entries which do not fully comply with the specifications set forth in these conditions will be not be returned. 15 • Participation in the exhibition implies an acceptance of these conditions.
