About the Project Entertainment & Retail Project During the training period we have trained to the most prominent project in the office (The Entertainment & Retail Waterfront Project ) A multi-use waterfront project located in north abhor, the site has an area of 83,512.92m². The project targets mainly residents of North Abhor District and the neighbouring facilities as it is the only public space located on the sea in North Abhor, thus making the success of the project high due to it being an attraction point from a commercial and leisure perspectives All of the work has been done with other trainees which we used to work as a group on the project and we started it from the very beginning , by researching and analysing and designing , this group work was a new experience for us which gonna help us in the senior year which we needed

Site Analysis/Response At this piont we start to do the site analysis and respose to them to achieve the best result to the project , and we started to analysis with those points : - Landmarks - Landuse - Solid and Void - Building Heights - Accessibility - Sun Analysis - Context of Surrounding

3- Solid & Void
4- Building Heights
-The area where the site is located is mostly undeveloped and new -The area consists of private owned villas and resorts (high percentage of open space) -Neighbouring buildings have a linear configuration in response to their site
-High buildings are located furthest from the sea, while low rise buildings are in front and close from the sea to maximize the view -Building heights range mostly between (4-1 story building)
50
51
5- Accessibility
6- Sun Analysis
The site is accessible from Prince Abdullah Alfaisal St.
-Few existing buildings to the south and west to provide shading -Low rise area, no shading on site -Vegetation is very low -South elevations should be shaded -Locate open space to the North and East to be shaded

Accessibility Design Response
Views / Circulation Design Response -Secondary entrance for ease of access to East side of the site
-Attraction points distributed along the axis of the site
-Service entrances located on the side can be used also for access to sea for small boats and jet skis
-Differentiate between main and secondary attraction points for visual sequence

Design Criteria
62
Location Advantages :
Design Criteria :
-1Located on the sea
Use of view and orientation
-2The only public space in North Abhor
Serves the community in the area
-3Linear shape site
Walking and health
-4Attraction Point
New idea as an attraction point in Jeddah
63
Design Criteria Cinemas -Projection rooms need 1m of space behind the projector and at the operating side, 2.80m high, ventilation, noise insulation to the auditorium side. Projection rooms may be combined for several auditoriums. -Film widths of 16mm, 35mm and 70mm. The centre of the projected beam should not deviate more than °5 horizontally or vertically from the centre of the screen, or it should be deflected via a deflection mirror. -The angle from the middle of the last row of seats to the outer edge of the picture should be at most °38 for Cinemascope. -The lower edge of the projection screen should be at least 1.20m above the floor. -The auditorium should have no outside light other than emergency lighting. Walls and ceiling are made from non reflective materials and in not too bright colours.
64
65
Yachts, Marinas & Harbours
Yachts, Marinas & Harbours -Mooring spaces for sailing and motor boats have to be planned carefully to make optimum use of the water area available. For reference, allocate 5-4 sailing boats or 6 motorboats per hectare of water area. -centre-boards require a depth of 1250mm whereas fixed-keel boats need 5000-4000 mm. -The direction of the prevailing wind and waves is an important consideration in determining the position of the harbour entrance and also influences the design of the breakwaters, which protect the interior of the harbour from waves.
66
-The harbour should have a turning area, with a diameter of 60-35m, behind the entrance. -Each boat needs a berth appropriate to its use (e.g. training, weekend, holiday etc.), The options include water berths, land berths or hall/indoor berths and the areas required for boats and associated facilities are: water berths 160-90 m2; land berths 200-100m² (this gives a total area per boat of approximately 360-200m²). -In addition, at least one family car parking space should be planned for every berth.
67
Design Criteria After the pre-design research , we started to make the concept of the site , and we started to define the zones since we have very varieties on the zones and we ended up with those main zones : - Go Kart - Gatehering Areas - Shopping Center - Cinema - Resturant and we made attraction points that makes , people notice the site and comes to it - Entrance Gate - Water Tower - Water Park - Open Theatre with activities like firework and concert
* the prossess took more than the half of the summer training course and we started it with sketches , then importing them to the digital with Revit and CAD , and we ended them by finalizing them with rendering them on Revit and photoshop
