Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing with regards of the vacancy for the position of Part II Architectural Assistant in your company. I hereby enclose my CV for your further information. Having to graduate with Master in Architecture from the Manchester School of Architecture, I am now prepared to face the real world based on the architectural knowledge I had gained throughout the entire course. The nature of my Masters course has prepared me in bringing out the best in myself. Prepped with higher self-motivation, self-confidence while mastering wider range of skills. My other skills include an excellent working knowledge of CAD programs, SketchUp and the Adobe Creative Suite. I have limited experience with Autodesk Revit, but am confident in my ability to quickly master use of the program with additional training. You will note from my CV that I also have relevant working experience in the architecture area previously. I undertook a job as a Part I Architectural Asssistant in Malaysia in 2012. In this role, I was exposed to more architecture knowledge as I experienced designing residential houses, getting planning permission approvals, leading a project with other consultants and conducting meetings whilst maximising client relationships. It was an experience that complimented my own abilities as I never could imagine I could exceed my own expectations. I wish to have a different exposure in a different set of environment because I love taking risks and challenging situations. Therefore, that was my upmost reason on continuing my architecture journey in the United Kingdom alongside attaining the Master in Architecture certificate. I build strong character throughout challenging myself while working well under pressure. I'm fully motivated and hardworking at the same time whenever it comes to teamwork as I bring the best qualities to the table. I show pride in all my architectural works produced through good verbal speech and presentation skills. I improve myself daily in communication as I believe that it is a soft skill that needs to be own by every individual in order to succeed in life. I am still learning and I take every step as an opportunity for a positive change in improving my interests, skills, and thoughts. As a naturally enthusiastic and hard working person, I do believe I have a lot to offer (your company) and hope I have sufficiently conveyed my potential for the role. Thank you for taking the time to consider this application and I look forward to hear from you in the near future. Yours sincerely,

Maliha Ramiza Ramlan Graduate Architect

HIGH RISE tutor En Amran Abd Rahim This project resides in Ipoh, Malaysia and was conducted to enable students to identify housing issues/problems that need to be resolved for urban setting.. It is also to enable students to understand the background of housing development, policies and guidelines, housing plannings and by laws. Furthermore, the students could propose design solutions on the selected housing issues. Generally, the housing scheme proposed, consists of low-medium cost to medium cost with 850 to 1500 square feet per unit area. After the process of identifying all issues and site conditions, students as individuals are to produce individual master plan with responding to the site surrounding and the housing program.Conceptual ideas are not restrained as long as the affordable housing is constructable.

The strategy is a framework through which partners, businesses, voluntary and community organisations and individuals work together to achieve a vision for neighbourhoods in Manchester, based on resident priorities.

"Sometimes I ride my bike to nowhere, to see nothing. I don't care. I just did so I can ride my bike" bicycle city second year 2015 Master in Architecture

tutor Stefan White . Helen Aston The Bicycle Project resides at the busiest road in Manchester, Oxford Road. Working on at masterplan level of improving the Oxford Road in transforming it into a better and more sustainable planning for the usage of all groups of people. The road is famous for it's excellent bus networking system for it is occupied mostly by students especially who is studying at the University of Manchester area. The University of Manchester is located along the road itself had contributed to the large amount of students who also prefer to walk and cycle to reach their classes. If the Oxford Road itself reduce the usage of cars, then there wouldn't be traffic problems or even accidents between cars and bicycles.

UPPERLINE The Upperline was being designed to cater the slow cyclists. Slow cyclists can enjoy the scenery and cycle leisurely to reach their destination. The design of the upperline symbolizes a tree branching out to form a roof for covering when the cyclists cycle on the Upperline. Part of the Upperline is enclosed and part of it is open to show the flexibility of spaces. The openess will give the cyclists an experience of being high at the top as if they are cycling over mountains.

EVENT SPACE The Event Space was initially a car parking space but it would be a good opportunity to turn it into a event space for cyclists since the Oxford Road would be proposed as 'car free zone'. The Event Space would be a platform for the cyclist to handle any events regarding promoting cycling as part of everyday lives. There's also provided event space for the public to enjoy good outdoor music and be in peace with nature. Incollaboration with Manchester Academy

BICYCLE HUB

LEGEND

The Bicycle Hub is located in between two buildings; Kilburn building and the University of Manchester Administration Office. The idea of Parasitic Architecture intrigued the intention of renewing the means of abandoned urban spaces. The flexibility of thre structure that feeds off or attached to the existing infrastructure and build form just drives me in creating a good design. The Bicycle Hub consists of secure bicycle parking, bicycle repairs and shop.
