I for one believe that if you give people a through understanding of what confronts them and the basic causes that produces it, they'll create their own program, and when the people create a program, you get ACTION. Malcolm X I am 4th generation freed from slavery and fourth Generation College educated. My great grandmother Mame Channey was the last slave in my family and the first to receive an education degree teaching newly ex-slaves to read, write and basic math skills. My paternal grandparents immigrants from Jamaica came to America with my grandmothers God Father Marcus Garvey to help build UNIA. My maternal grandparents freedom fighters worked to knock down the wall of segregation in Baltimore, Maryland to my parents active in the civil right movement and my father a member of the Black Panther Party. What my family history has done is instilled in me that when there is a societal wrong I must not sit and wait for change I must be an active part of it. It’s in my blood to fight for the underdog,
