I AM Competition, Prize Giving Ceremony November 5th, 2015 • The Challenge: to identify an issue in the school’s built environment and propose a sustainable solution • Received 29 submissions from across Trinidad
• 1st Place – Lakshmi Girls Hindu College 2nd Place – Swaha Hindu College 3rd Place – Tabaquite Secondary School Ste Madeline Secondary School (Best Drawings) • ASJA Girls College (Most Original Presentation) • Penal Secondary School (Most Enthusiastic). • Three Special Prizes were awarded to the Mayaro, Five Rivers, and Mount Hope Secondary Schools

Guest Speaker was Mr. Glynn Morris, an Energy Advisor in the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Technical Assistance (REETA) project . Accompanied by Mr. Simon Zellner, also an Energy Advisor in the REETA project. More than 60 attendees Zellner demonstrated that more than 80% of the cost of a building is actually in operations over its life cycle.. The TTGBC will like to thank the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany as well as our current members, future members, and attendees for making this Breakfast Seminar a success.

Partnership: • Partnered with University of the West Indies, Caribbean Network for Urban and Land Management and University of Antwerp to organize and present a workshop entitled, “ Urban Design Studio for Energy Efficient Planning and Design; A case study of the University of the West Indies. • TTGBC organized the public forum discussion on 14th September 2016.
