Daniel Crane Sporting & Equestrian Artist Daniel Crane is one of the country’s leading sporting artists who has gained a reputation as his generation’s Lionel Edwards. Born in Norfolk in 1969, Daniel is the youngest son of a farming family, who has been surrounded by animals and the countryside from a young age. His love and respect for his chosen subject are evident in his work. The development of his style has moved away from the cartoon and caricature works that were the signature of his early career to highly finished oils and watercolours that capture the atmosphere and power of his chosen subject. His formal studies at the Lincoln College of Art and Design have been supplemented by time in the field, constantly observing and documenting the relationship between man, horse and the countryside. This catalogue serves as a visual appetizer to accompany the exhibition that we will be holding in the Chelsea Gallery in June. There will be approximately twenty five recent paintings and watercolours ranging in price from £1,500 - £25,000. All pictures are for sale and available for purchase from receipt of this brochure. We hope that you will find the opportunity of visiting the gallery or viewing the illustrations of the exhibition on our website. www.jamesharveybritishart.com.
