Through my studies at Iowa State University, I’ve worked to develop my skills as an interior designer– both artistic and technical. I enjoy being creative with all my work and I am interested in several fields of interior design. My goal is to provide a safe and functional environment for my clients. Being involved from a project’s conception to its completion, is the driving force behind my desire to design and design well.

INTERIOR client: Iowa State Students | Faculty location: Morrill Hall | ISU Campus concept:
Given the painting “Abstract Composition” by Mark Rothko, the objective of this assignment was to create an interior space based on the emotions and shapes of our analysis of the piece. Evolving basic 2D shapes into an abstract sculpture, we then chose an existing room on campus and expanded our design. The model was created by the “shell” for the student lounge in Morrill Hall at Iowa State University, chosen because of the open space and architectural character that was provided. This space was designed to be a coffee shop and student lounge. Iowa State students can use this space to study or enjoy listening to music on the weekends.

STUDY MODELS Multiple study models were constructed from the 2D drawings that were previously developed. Materials to make the final sculpture included acr ylic, copper foil, wire, and a steel wood pad. FINAL SC ULPTURE
MODEL MAKING The final step of this project was to create a space using the final sculpture as inspiration. Patience and a steady hand were key into assembling this model.

FLAGSHIP STORE client: Judita Daujotaite location:
Ducati Cafe Rome, Italy
concept:
The concept of Judita Daujotaite’s showroom is to transfer the clients’ mind into a mysterious, fanciful secret garden.
goals:
– Creating a space, making it an experience for the clients. – Incorporating Judita’s merchandise as main focal pieces. – Separating showroom and consultation spaces by the use of different materials– interpreting a more abstract, misleading world as if you fell down a rabbit hole.
objectives:
– Using a mesh of light and dark colors throughout the showroom emphasizing the highly lavished decor and architectural features. – Apply out-of-scale elements with a grotesque influence.

PHOTOGRAPHY DRAWINGS & PAINTINGS These are drawings I’ve done throughout my years as a student at Iowa State University and during the Rome program. Studying drawing techniques and experimenting with different mediums inspired me to express myself in creating perspectives, charcoal, oil painting, and watercolor drawings.
OIL PAINTING A total of three stages were completed for this painting: a line analysis drawing, followed by a charcoal study, and the oil painting that is shown. The challenge was to limit using white and black and
