MUSIC VIDEO TURNS INTO SHORT FILM Buddy Roe, artist-entrepreneur, chats with Mamarazzi Entertainment Magazine ahead of the release for “Talkin’ To Ya.” The single will be accompanied by a short film directed by Bray Films and debut in August 2020 uddy Roe is going full throttle with no signs B of slowing down. The artist has been “bout dat work” in and out of the recording studio. Over the years he has used music videos as an opportunity to create cinema. And now he will release a short film titled, “Talkin’ To Ya.” The film, shot by Bray Films, has a plot for a stick up job gone awry. The first glance of the film project will come in late August.
He teamed up with fellow artist WaaZee Walker who delivered the track’s catchy hook. The single was produced by Wichita-based producer S.E. Trill. “I think he’s an innovator in music and a purely talented artist,” says S.E. Trill who has also worked with Devin Da Dude, Yella Beezy and Mozzy.

Stay tuned for twists and turns--" Devon Bray, Bray Films “He brought a lot of energy to this record and I believe ‘Talkin’ To Ya’ is a smash,” adds S.E. Trill. Janee Alexander of the “Legit Flavor” podcast plays the lead character in the film. Roe appeared both on-screen and off-screen. “I’ve always been big into creating short films and this particular track is the start of many to come for my songs,” says Roe who developed the concept before turning to director Devon Bray of Bray Films to iron the rest out. “The vibe of the track allowed me to jam to the record but also to create a theatrical concept for it.” Production happened over just two days. Roe says working with Bray Films was easy because the two have worked together many times before.
"It was a lot of fun to put that together,” says Buddy Roe. “Me and [Devon] Bray know each other very well and know our strengths and habits so it was easy to get to work and bounce ideas off of each other.” Roe says it was a lot of work to produce the short film but now he is eager for everyone to enjoy it. "I look forward to seeing the numbers it does once the main stream catches on to it,” says S.E. Trill about ‘Talkin’ To Ya.’ Listeners will also get an R&B collaboration from Roe this summer. “Breakdown” is a seductive song featuring an artist named Swerve and produced by K Da Great. Aside from creating music, Roe keeps busy by adding new styles to his ROE (Respect Ova Everything) Clothing brand.
