An artist from Lima, Ohio is garnering attention from hip hop heavy weights for his raw and unfiltered street lyrics. Eastside Po is showing that art imitates life as he lays it all out for listeners. Prior to his passing, legendary rapper DMX reached out to Eastside Po about his music. Jadakiss and producer Zaytoven have also taken notice of the moves he’s making. Now he’s back in the studio working on a mixtape to be released in spring 2021 titled, “I Promise.” Last year Eastside Po released “PV2: Parole Violation.” He wrote much of the project while incarcerated for a parole violation. He admits it had “dark vibes” that reflected what he was thinking about while locked down. But since his release the rap artist sees the light at the end of the tunnel. EASTSIDE PO

“I think more clearly now and see myself on a bigger scale,” said Eastside Po, who launched Promised Profit, an independent recording label. “I take myself more serious.” After leaving prison he changed his environment and now lives 90 miles away in Columbus. He has re-emerged smarter and more focused after serving three years in prison. Having his freedom snatched away gave him time to think about his missteps and to plan for his next steps. The “I Promise” mixtape will show how much he has evolved not only as an artist, but as a person. He describes it as “soulful, real and street.” His authenticity resonates with people who’ve also lived in the struggle.

THE PROMISE “All my life I’ve been on papers n*gga/I done turned into a paper getter.”

DMX and Tee Grizzley both reached out to Eastside Po via social media to give a head nod for his music and work ethic. While in the studio with producer Zaytoven, he ran into Jadakiss. Jadakiss has even shouted the Ohioan out on Instagram. “He was like, ‘I see you been working,’” East Side Po recalls Jadakiss saying. “And of course that meant a lot to me because he’s somebody I’d like to work with.” Jadakiss is one of Eastside Po’s favorite lyricists. “I’ve never heard a wack lyric from him,” he says. East Side Po’s own song lyrics reflect the hard-knock life he has lived, marked with betrayal and setbacks. In “Neighbors,” a EASTSIDE PO

song that appears on PV2, he raps: “All my life I’ve been on papers nigga/I done turned into a paper getter.” The views for his “7th Floor” music video are climbing. He released the single to give his fans something to listen to as they wait on his mixtape. “Last year I set a lot of goals for myself,” recalls Eastside Po. “I want to get my team straight, put my name out there, and take care of my family.” “Even staying out of trouble was a big goal for me,” he adds. He was able to move the crowd during a performance for Atlanta’s All Star Weekend. The artist-entrepreneur will launch Promised Profit apparel soon. "Eastside Po's newest project will capture listeners with his unique sounds and lyrics," says

"He's a lyrical artist that will make an impact on today's generational music." -Devin "Silk" Lyles Promised Profit

Promised Profit Entertainment record label owner Devin "Silk" Lyles. "Songs like 'No Face Tatts' send a message to our community reminding them that they don't have to get face tats to express who they are." The sky is the limit for Eastside Po. He promises not to fold.
