THE VENOM & ANTIDOTE By Ti'Juana "Mamarazzi" Hardwell He may very well be both the venom and the antidote of today’s hip-hop music scene. Just three years ago JVenom left Baltimore to pursue a music career in Atlanta. Inspired by ATL’s knack for producing charttopping mega-stars, he was sure it was the kind of environment that would allow him to grow as an artist. His “Hit the Dash '' music video has quickly garnered more than 98K views in only a few weeks. He has no plans of slowing down as his first major project will drop by Summer 2022. After losing his brother due to gun violence in Baltimore, JVenom turned his pain and focus to making music. “My brother was doing music but spent a lot more time in the streets,” recalls JVenom. “Before his passing we put together a song and he told me to stick with making music.” “He wanted me to take music more seriously,” adds the “No Discussion” and “Chasing a Mil” artist. NEW MUSIC OUT NOW

J’s father told him to call himself “JVenom” after describing his style as “spittin’ venom.” At the time, JVenom had one foot in and one foot out of street life. Relocating to Atlanta allowed him to leave the B-More streets and connect with DJs who could help grow his fan base. “Artists have to pass through Atlanta,” said JVenom. “There’s a lot of opportunity here. By being in Atlanta it allowed me to connect with Vic.” Vic was a popular artist on ATL’s music scene. He introduced JVenom to N.R.N. Entertainment (Now Or Never), a record label that Eric Williams and Tony March founded in 2012. Their vision for the label was to keep hip hop alive by developing and promoting original artists. JVenom is the kind of artist N.R.N. is happy to be working with. “He’s lyrical and has great delivery,” said Williams. “He’s definitely cut from the old cloth.”

Vic believes that JVenom’s content helps him stand out from his musical peers. Now that JVenom’s career is being managed by N.R.N, the label is helping him make connections that elevate his artistry. JVenom recently had his music played on Deb Antney’s Be100 World Hit Radio Station. He also performed at King of Diamonds, Club Vybez, on New Music Mondays hosted by Coalition DJs and for Shade 45 Live at Black Ink Atlanta hosted by Core DJs Worldwide. “He’s exciting to watch and has real stage presence,” said Vic. “He

does this without a hype man.” JVenom will continue to run his streaming numbers up throughout 2022. “I’m bringing back lyrics and similes,” says JVenom. “It’s what’s been missing. I’m using drill beats and giving them something for the club and party scene.” Williams says N.R.N. is committed to helping JVenom create quality singles, music videos and get promotional materials. “We’re just trying to make all of his dreams come true,” said Williams.
