This is Mammoet Mammoet’s worldwide activities range from equipment rental to turnkey projects. In addition, Mammoet Trading is renowned for trading new and overhauled equipment. An additional service is the storage and transshipment of goods for our customers. Mammoet has two terminals available to it in the Netherlands: the Heavy Lift Terminal in the Rotterdam port area and the Multi Purpose Terminal in Westdorpe, near Terneuzen. The strength of the Mammoet terminals is not only a result of the commitment of qualified personnel that works in accordance with the highest safety and quality standards, but also of the modern, well maintained and certified material and the favorable location. Furthermore, Mammoet’s internal engineering department is able to provide engineered lifts. Providing a 24-hour service the company is in an ideal position to handle your project or heavy load efficiently and safely.
Heavy Lift Terminal, Schiedam The Mammoet Heavy Lift Terminal in Schiedam is located on the Nieuwe Maas in the port of Rotterdam and offers a wide range of stevedore services.
The Heavy Lift Terminal has over 900 meters of quay, both on the Nieuwe Maas and in the Wilton port with a depth of 9.5 meters The PHB harbor crane has a lifting capacity of 250 metric tons and can be supplemented by Mammoet mobile or floating sheerlegs to handle a wide range of loads. The RoRo quay of the Mammoet Heavy Lift Terminal also accomodates heavy loads. With the Mammoet Worldwide headquarters situated on its site, the terminal is able to optimize the use of Mammoet’s auxiliary equipment, engineering capacity, large fleet of cranes, range of platform trailers, construction halls and storage areas. In addition, the Heavy Lift Terminal offers all kinds of supplementary services. For instance, the terminal provides offshore support in the form of conversion programs for specialized vessels and heavy lifting and transportation services as part of dismounting and re-assembly activities to platforms. Mammoet runs equipment testing
programs and modifies pontoons and platforms. Mammoet is well equipped to supply assembly services to our customers, such as the construction and assembly of new cranes on our yard. One of the strengths of the Heavy Lift Terminal is the possibility to store goods and after that the just-in-time delivery at buyer’s request to the end-user or transporter. The terminal crane can move to a different location while the load is suspended and has a long reach. Consequently, there is no need for other equipment to transport loads to and from the storage site. This leads to significant costsavings for our customers. The Mammoet Heavy Lift Terminal offers its customers by means of these comprehensive services a concept which is unique in the port of Rotterdam.
THE MAMMOET HEAVY LIFT TERMINAL IS A CERTIFIED INTERNATIONAL SHIP AND PORT FACILITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE PORT SECURITY ACT AND COMPLIES WITH THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE INTERNATIONAL SHIP AND PORT FACILITY SECURITY CODE (ISPS CODE) AND AGREEMENTS UNDER THE SOLAS CONVENTION.

PROJECT: LOAD-OUT OF TWO MOBILE HARBOR CRANES, ASSEMBLED AT MAMMOET’S YARD, ONTO A RORO SHIP. SERVICE: MAMMOET HEAVY LIFT TERMINAL IS WELL EQUIPPED TO HANDLE YOUR MOST HEAVY CARGO, SUCH AS GENERATORS, TURBINES, TRANSFORMERS AND REACTORS, ON OUR OWN RORO QUAY AS WELL.

Multi Purpose Terminal, Westdorpe The Mammoet Multi Purpose Terminal is situated in the port of Terneuzen on the Ghent-Terneuzen canal and has a 400 meter quay with a depth of 8.0 meters. At this location, which has a covered storage capacity of 8,000 and an outside storage area of 15,000 square meters, Mammoet provides the storage and transshipment of stainless steel coils, containers, big bags and general cargo. Two mobile harbor cranes, each with a capacity of 100 tons, allow the Mammoet Multi Purpose Terminal to transship heavy loads up to 200 tons. The fast growing port of Terneuzen provides an excellent alternative for the ports of Antwerp, Ghent and Vlissingen for handling heavy loads. Mammoet can also offer good facilities for additional loads through its Multi Purpose Terminal. Regular container services depart daily for Vlissingen, Rotterdam and Antwerp.
