Developing Micro Climate in the Courtyard

Project Description:

• The architectural thesis of integrating school campuses with urban faming as a modular way to reducing urban heat island effect, was an intensive research and design based process.

• The campus was largely impacted by the upcoming policies of the city of Pune in India.

• The campus housed and incubated both traditional and modern farming techniques as a tribute to the farming community of this city.

• Apart from form exploration, each hydroponically grown patch of space was also designed as per the user groups and the space utilization.
