Architecture for me is an opportunity to get creative and analytical at the same time, It allows me to look into a wider spectrum of the built and its surroundings where imagination meets creation. The process being full of trying out various iterations and learning through problem solving makes it much more dynamic and enjoyable.

SITE PLAN
The site is located in the vicinity of the Mullasary canal in Ernakulam. The process started whilst exploring the the concept of democracy and studies of the old Ernakulam. Looking at the deteriorating prosperity of the Mullassary Canal. We tried to enhance the public interaction with the canal and provide a water transport to enhance the interaction of the locals with the canal for its revival.
Form interacting with the edge of the canal.
Reconstructing the boundary. Green spaces flood in.
Manuvering around the site vegetation by adding cranks and turns
Access from both sides to maintain the connection Orienting to face north to allow abudance of north light
PUBLIC
Common Space connecting the two.
Two main staircase articulate vertical circulation.
GOVERNANCE
In order to restore the canal to its prosperous condition and while creating a place for the public to interact with the previously bounded water body..
The side which faces the canal has a visual connection with the facade, thus further heightening the experience of the canal. The internal courtyard allows ventilation and adequate sunlight to enter the internal rooms.
The facade has openable windows at all levels, the exterior facade is made up of concrete to offer resistance against the harsh climate and the internal facade has wooden panels to radiate comfort and warmth.
The landscape around the built is a play of levels, creating spaces of gathering for the visitors as well as the employees of the government office. The floodable wetlands help in flood mitigation and act as absorbing basins for the flood water.
The facade facing the canal is comparatively transparent and openable thus mainting passive ventilation at all times and allowing adequate light to keep the interiors well lit.

While working on this project, We started with the act of storytelling. This was the time when covid was at its peak.During this time, we were introduced to the manga ‘The Walking Man’also known as ‘Aruku Hito’ by Jiro Taniguchi, the manga resettles the readers in the seat of the author where he describes the modern Japanese Landscape in short stories with the eyes of a person who has just moved into a suburb. From this narrative, we fragmented the various scenes and relooked at them within the imagination of the of our neighborhood, while looking at the aspect of informal learning and envisioning a future for our neighbouhood.
1) The image of flower pot sitting on the window sill.
2) A bare man floating in a water body.
The first image gives as ense of isolation and still life, the flowers which were manicured and looked lovely but were stripped of from their roots. While the second image shows the act of baring one self and the act of assimilation with another entity. My site was a national park. The land has enormous diversity and the existence of various tribes. That facilitated a process of informal learning that happened due to the symbiotic relationship between humans and nature.
The intent behind the program was the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, beliefs, and various habits. The program was a visitor’s center, that not only guided the visitors but also imparted knowledge about the forest as well as the inhabitants of the forest, allowing an exchange of learning.
The building is located within the wilderness of the National Park, the form spreads itself around the existing flora, the steep sloping roofs try to blend in with the context.

03. Project
Resoltuion - 1
In this Studio we tried to blur the lines of design making as various modes of inculcation language, one through the idea of design thinking and another to look at it with a analytical approach. Where design and technology comes together.
The project proposed in Ernakulam was resolved to get an elaborate and detailed understanding of the material and construction details which would have been adapted during its construction.

04. Project
Resoltuion - 2
The site is called Navghar and is located in Almora. The site is chosen from this area with the intentions of locating the projects within a familiar challenging climatic zone as well as topographical features to understand how the response to these can influence the form, elements, envelop etc for the building. The programme was a Town Hall, The main objective of this programme was to create a space for congregation for the community that will add value to the precinct and convey a message of multiculturalism.

05. Binary Responses
The main intent of this exercise was to engage with elements of nature and creating varied spatial experiences, using a controlled palette of natural entities.
The two binaries Light & Dark were thus expressed using various natural elements and their charactersitics related to the density, texture, height, colour etc.
Contour Literacy
Study of contour and modulating contour to study Hydrology.
06. Visitor’s Park - Green relief admist the concrete Jungle.
SEM VI - Guide - Shruti Sheth
The site is located in Ernakulam, Kochi. The programme is a Visitor’s Park admist the fast paced and evergrowing concrete jungle, providing a green relief for the residents as well as foreign visitors, the edge of the park is shared with the mullassary canal, the artificial wetlands and rain gardens mitigate the rising levels during monsoons.
Various activities include, the children’s play ground, cafe and a butterflygarden. The park also sets the background for the two pickup points for the jetty, thus managing the crowd while also providing a space to rest.
07. Cascading haven
SEM IV - Guide - Shilpa Ranade
The programme is a boy’s hostel in Almora. The site is loccated near the Ramsay School and a girl’s hostel. The form takes shapes with the streaming contours, thus flowing downwards towards the mall road, The form fits itself into the surrounding without overpowering its context and cascades gently down the contours.
08. Polyclinic - Healthcare
SEM VII - Guide - Sagar Oke
In this studio we had a nuanced look at the neighbourhoods that we live in and attempted to identify and create potential changes that could make a safer and resilient city.
The Programme is a Polyclinic, part of the masterplan strategy, which works with it’s adjacent recreational centre, located in the east of Wadala. It’s made by also keeping in mind the future use of public spaces for public health and it’s wellbeing.

The design is proposed in a way that it introduces various buffer spaces to allow circulation and direct the flow of the public throughout.

First Year Study Trip Batch Exhibition 2018
Data collection in groups of 2
Maheshwar, famous for it’s palaces and textile production was the site for our study trip. Tracing the narratives of various residents we documented their stories, routes of transports, their usage of the space around them and weaved together their stories to form a network of connections interweaving people across the town.
10. Life along the Ridge
Second Year Study Trip Batch Exhibition 2019
Collaborative Drawing of the main spine of Almora, We looked at the central spine of Almora and the variety of networks which connect the entirety of the town with the various housing typologies.
