(Ages 3-5) ) Child must be able to leave parent willingly. Parents are not in the water with child. This class is for children who have not yet learned to put their face in the water. (Ages 3-5) Parents are not in the water with children. Children should be able to swim the length of the beach area of our pool. This level introduces rhythmic breathing and focuses on developing correct arm and leg control. $21/AAM; $35/M; $45/R; $55/NR

(Ages 5-12) Prior to starting this class, children should be able to swim 2 continuous laps of both freestyle (front crawl) and back stroke (back crawl). They will be introduced to all 6 Red Cross swimming strokes: Front Crawl, Back Crawl, Breast stroke, Side stroke, Elementary Back stroke and the Butterfly stroke. They will also learn proper flip turns, diving skills, and swim team techniques. $21/AAM; $35/M; $45/R; $55/NR

American Red Cross Lifeguard Course:
Must be at least 15 years old by the last class. Participants must attend complete the online portion of the course prior to the first day of the class in order to participate. The online portion of the course can be accessed at: www.mpdpr.com/2022arc. Students must participate in all classes in order to become certified and able to complete the prerequisites in order to complete the class. Prerequisites include swimming 300m, treading water for 1 minute without the use of hands, and a timed event. Upon completion of the course, participants will be certified in American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED for Lifeguards (valid for 2 years). $200M; $210R; $225NR.
