Water Walking
If you enjoy ZUMBA®, you will be sure to enjoy Zumba in the water. Zumba utilizes the principles of fitness interval training/resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning, and total body toning. It provides a mixture of body sculpting movements with easy to follow dance steps. You do not need to be a swimmer to take this class.
Like any water aerobic exercise, water walking is easy on the joints. The water’s buoyancy supports the body’s weight, which reduces stress on the joints and minimizes pain. Water provides 12 times the resistance of air, so as you walk, you’re really strengthening and building muscle.

(Ages 5-18) We have designed a swimming program for individuals with special needs to be able to learn water safety, swim techniques, and to feel comfortable in the water. Each participant must have an aide (or parent) in the water with them during the lesson. Aides can be provided at no additional charge if arranged with the Aquatics Manager in advance.
