Grab a couple of beanbags and head out to our newly painted cornhole courts located next to the community center. A timeless classic fun game for all ages!

Senior Strength and Stretch

A community center favorite among the seniors here! This class is geared for seniors of all shapes, sizes, and mobility levels. You’ll be able to get a great workout that is low impact but still meets your needs.

Restorative Aquafit

This pool exercise class puts the needs of participants into action by making it a low impact exercise that anyone can handle. Our heated indoor pool will help work wonders on achy muscles and joints while putting a spring in your step.

Mixed Gentle Yoga

Exercise shouldn’t hurt and this class doesn’t disappoint. We will be paying attention to our core structures and balance with easygoing, gentle yoga poses.

Walking Club

Calling all walkers! As we walk and talk you’ll be hitting your stride and realize the heart benefits of a 1,000 steps. No need for fancy gear! Just bring comfortable walking shoes, a water bottle, and your favorite ball cap! In the event of rain we will walk indoors.

Social Opportunities News Flow

Participate in an active discussion of local, national, and international current events. This is a great opportunity to share your current subscription to periodicals like Readers Digest or Time magazine as we discuss the “rest of the story” with others. Coffee is provided.

Community Connections

Come join us at Park Place, Manassas Park’s 55 and over senior living community. This program is about making connections and new friends and reaching out to our senior neighbors every Tuesday through our myriad of MPCC programs. Conversation, brain teasers, making gifts, and some easy gourmet make for a good time!

Boredom Busters: Cards and Games

Do you enjoy the classic board games like parcheesi, chess, and checkers? What about timeless card games like double solitaire, Uno, and rummy? Program is self-facilitated.

Social Knitting/Crocheting

Bring a project or start a new one with us for a relaxing morning of either knitting or crocheting and socializing. Share ideas and create items such as dishcloths, baby Afghans, and unity scarves. Help will be provided as needed. Whether you are a beginner or experienced, you are welcome to attend this class.

Puzzle Mania

Keep those critical thinking skills honed and collaborate on a group puzzle, Sudoku, or crosswords.

Senior Socials

One of the longest running programs in Manassas Park! If you are excited to meet with new and old friends and talk about the day’s events or if you want to work on a project that encourages your creative touch, then this social group is perfect for you. We will work on crafts, play bingo, and socialize every Wednesday.

Book Club

A friendly and lively discussion on books for your choosing to include: classics, history, biographies, fiction, and non-fiction. A fascinating book can transport you across the oceans to other continents and eras. Books will be supplied by Central Library.

Scrabble Club

Let Scrabble test your vocabulary and exercise your brain. Our club meets each Thursday of the month.

Charity Crafting

Share your talents and passion to create crafts that will benefit others with our various charity partnerships to include preemie hats for NOVANT Hospital and red scarves for Foster Care to Success. Helping others feels good!

Senior Potluck Dinner

On the third Friday of the month, don’t forget to stop by our community potluck dinner to chat with friends, meet new ones, and bring a dish to share with others.
