Positive Thinking for Teens

Circuit Workout

Join Recreation Leaders, and other teens, as we come together to help motivate each other as we set and achieve goals. There truly is power in positive thinking and talking with peers!

Use the MPCC gym for a full-body, circuit workout that you can make intense or light, depending on how hard you push yourself. We will provide you with a log to keep track of your progress.

Learn Something New

All Sports

Gardening

Each Tuesday, teens play a different sport such as badminton, volleyball, basketball, soccer, or cornhole—or any other sport teens would like.

The teen vegetable garden is back by popular demand! Teens meet weekly to discuss plans for the garden including planting vegetables like lettuce, tomatoes, and peppers. Once grown, we will harvest all the veggies! Join us to learn about nature.

Drop-In Volleyball Once a week, the volleyball net up goes up just for the teens. Bring your friends and serve, set, and spike all while having fun with your friends.

Walking Club If you are not a big fan of running or playing sports, but still want to exercise, then walking is perfect! Did you know that walking has similar benefits to running? Team up with other teens, or with our Recreation Leaders, and walk around the Community Center.

Drop-In Basketball Every Friday after school, the Community Center basketball courts are open for teens to play pick-up games with friends. Grab a basketball, and meet us on the court!

Express Yourself through Journaling Whether you have been itching to get the pen moving on something other than homework or you just want to get help writing a story, then this is the place for you. We will not be sharing what we write, unless you want to.

Breakdancing Instructors, Jose and Alisha, teach how to perform breakdance moves that you can show to your friends. Class also meets on Fridays from 5:00pm-6:30pm
