Get Up and Move

Xbox Tournament

Drop-In Soccer

Teens, who love Xbox, can compete against other teens and staff to see who is best at Madden, NBA 2K, FIFA, or any other video games in weekly Teen Center tournaments. The winner gets a prize.

After school, come over to the Community Center and enjoy a game of soccer. We have indoor and outdoor goals so weather is not an issue. If there is enough interest, we could start a league.

Learn Something New

Sports Conditioning

Music Theory

Recreation Leaders guide and encourage teens to reach their maximum conditioning goals before trying out or while participating in school sports.

Students learn the basic building blocks of creating music. They will create their own original music too.

Career Launch

Badges for Baseball Sponsored by the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Justice, law enforcement professionals mentor teens while engaging in sports, discussions, and activities.

Teens who are thinking about getting a summer job can work with our Teen Staff to create a resume, cover letter, and review basic interviewing strategies to prepare for possible future employment.

Gardening Club

Dodgeball Everyone loves action-packed dodgeball games because you can jump, dive, duck, and throw your way to victory. We provide the space and the balls! You provide the teams!

Teens have created and maintained an amazing vegetable garden here at the Community Center. We meet weekly to plant veggies, water, weed, harvest, and discuss plans for the garden with Master Gardeners from Prince William County.

Drop-In Basketball

World of Art

Every Friday after school, the Community Center gym is reserved just for teens! Grab a basketball, and meet us on the court!

Connect with Your Community

Art is all around us. There are many different forms and mediums of art. In the Teen Center World of Art, we are going to discover them each week. Bring your creativity and imagination, and we’ll provide the supplies.

Movie Monday

Latin Dance

Every Monday, the Teen Center turns into a mini movie theatre. Grab a spot on the couch, candy or popcorn, and enjoy a great film. We watch Disney classics, motivational movies, and some of the newest releases, rated G - PG-13.

Fall in love with the beautiful dances of Salsa, Mambo, Bachata, and Merengue. Beginners will learn the basic steps in a fun, casual setting. Do you already know how to dance? Come enjoy the music and meet other dancers just like yourself. Class meets the first Friday of the month.

Music Appreciation By going backward in time, and focusing on major composers of each period, we will see how music has evolved into the music we know and love today!

Just a Taste Cooking Class Teenagers have fun engaging in fun, nutritious-centered activities, while preparing their own healthy meals during each class.

Mentor Program The Community Center fosters strong positive relationships within our community. On Thursdays, select individuals help teens by providing support and encouragement needed for their success.
