Manassas Park Senior Passport You’ve asked, we’ve listened! Our Seniors Passport Program is now only $30 per

year! To be eligible for this Passport Membership, you must be 65 years of age. Membership includes all the benefits of the Fitness PLUS Membership, as well as the splash membership and access to all senior programs at no additional charge. Enjoy our potlucks, the wellness center, pool, active aging programs and more! Non-members may enroll in any of these classes individually by paying the $2 daily drop-in rate. *Times, dates, and activities are subject to change. Transportation is available for residents of Park Place Senior Apartments on Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday with pick-up times at 8:45am and 11:45am, and drop-off times at 11:40am and 2pm. Please keep in mind that meals are not currently provided at the Manassas Park Community Center, therefore participants attending from 8:45am-2pm will need to provide their own lunch. *Transportation availability, times and locations are subject to change. For specific programming details such as trip destinations, movie selections, and lecture presenters, please refer to the senior’s bulletin board in the lobby of the Community Center.

Crafting for a Cause Are you the artsy type? Do you enjoy the creativity that crafts allow you to explore with? Share your talents and passion, and help create crafts for a special cause. All crafts that we make will benefit service organizations that assist with various causes.

New School Skills Do you desire to learn how to use a computer, a particular program on a laptop, or just trying to figure out how to send an e-mail? We have partnered with Storage Strategies, Inc. (SSI) for instruction on computer help for beginners and beyond. Tuesday Trivia Who’s better at trivia, the men or women? This age old question will be answered every Tuesday as we separate into teams of men vs. women to answer questions such as Which president of the United States was in office from January 20, 1953 to January 20, 1961? And which television game show first aired in 1956 and is still running today? By the way, the answers are Dwight Eisenhower, and The Price is Right.

Seniors Advisory Committee The Senior Advisory Committee will meet the 4th Wednesday of each month at 12:30 pm at the Manassas Park Community Center. The public is welcome to attend and make comments and suggestions.

Lunch and Learn+ An informative monthly session that is free and open to all. Each session we present a different speaker that provides a lively presentation on a topic of interest. Bring your lunch and join the conversation. Coffee will be available. Participants must pre-register. Class will be held every fourth Wednesday of the month. Piano/Keyboard Lessons We should never stop learning! This saying is true all throughout every phase of life. If you’re interested in learning something new, how about trying piano/keyboard lessons. It doesn’t matter if you have taken lessons before, or are a novice to the piano. All skills levels are encouraged to participate. Participants must pre-register. Classes are for eight week sessions. Stage Left Let your inner star out, and participate in our senior’s only drama club. We will be rehearsing skits, and then we’ll tickle your funny bone with improve. All are welcomed to lend their talents for our MPCC Stage Left drama club.

Senior Citizen Volunteers Volunteers are an essential part of Manassas Park programs and activities. Help is needed in various capacities: from working in the computer lab, monitoring Kids Korner, to party and activity organizers, to strategic planners, board members and
