Manassas Park Senior Passport You’ve asked, we’ve listened! Our Seniors Passport Program is now only $30 per
year! To be eligible for this Passport Membership, you must be 65 years of age or older. Membership
includes all the benefits the Fitness PLUS Membership as well as the Splash Membership and access to all senior programs at no additional fee! Enjoy our potlucks, the wellness center, pool, active aging programs and more! Every year, we host a Seniors Easter Egg Hunt, Scavenger Hunt, Regional Trips and Spring Dance. Non-members may enroll in these classes individually by paying the $2 daily drop-in rate. Transportation is available! See the back page for more information on how you can get to and from The Community Center. For specific programming details such as trip locations, movie and book selections, and lecture presenters, please refer to the bi-monthly newsletter we’ve made just for seniors, available online and at the front desk.

ACTIVE AGING Aqua-cise Take a step into the pool to keep up your muscle tone and get the low impact full body exercise you’ve been looking for. MPCC. Activity #3001 Pickle Ball This slower paced game is similar to tennis is the perfect low impact exercise, the speed is reduced to make it an easier and more enjoyable exercise like you have always been able to get on the Courts. Restorative Aquafit This is another pool exercise class that puts the needs of participants into action by making it low impact exercise that anyone can handle. MPCC. In the colder months of winter, we’ll be stepping it up throughout the halls of the Community Center. Costello Park/MPCC. Potluck Picnic in the Park On the 2nd Monday of the Month, we’ll be heading outdoors for a potluck picnic. The picnic is held at Costello Park, and during the colder months will be moved into the Community Center. Contact the Community Center to sign up to bring a dish for our potluck. MPCC. Senior Strength & Sculpt Our Senior Strength & Sculpt exercise class is geared to seniors of all shapes, sizes, and mobility levels. You’ll be able to get a great work-out that is low impact enough to meet needs and provide a challenging work-out to boot. MPCC. Activity #3008

Senior Seminars Do you have questions about the home safety? Maybe you’d like to get a refresher on your driving skills or are trying to figure out what you should be eating to stay in tip-top shape. Our Senior Seminars will give you all the answers you need from Community leaders. September’s Speaker: Local Firefighters will come in to share in-depth knowledge about keeping your home safe and hazard-free, while giving you an up close look at some of their firefighting equipment. Culinary Delights Are you a Food Network aficionado? Then this is the class for you! Each week we’ll be sampling a new recipe. And we’ll also be developing a cookbook. Transportation is available for residents of Park Place Senior Apartments on weekdays with pickup times at 8:30am and 11:30am, and drop-off times at 11:30am and 2pm at no additional cost. Please keep in mind that meals are not currently available at the Manassas Park Community Center, participants coming from 8:30am-2pm will need to provide their own lunch.
