Director’s Message
Our university's (MRIIRS) values are based on innovation and advancement, sustainable development goals, humanitarian endeavors and we are humbly proud of its many accomplishments and are striving for more in future. In this process, Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences (FBSS) has been in the forefront of educating, nurturing, and constructively shaping the young minds of the students who enroll every year through our psychology, economics, liberal arts, political science, public policy, liberal arts with a major in sociology and social work programmes. The focus in this period of a new world order amidst the Covid crisis is to forge towards a futuristic education at the backdrop of New Education Policy of 2020. FBSS continues to provide students with the fundamentals of current knowledge, high values, future directions, as it works relentlessly to fulfill its purpose of delivering the best experiential, transdisciplinary learning, teaching, and research opportunities to students and academicians alike. Our distinguished faculty members write research papers, books, carry out research projects, intellectual discussion series, public policy advocacy addressing the UN SDGs. Our students excel not only in the classroom, but also in field projects, sports and extracurricular activities. Our students have won awards in a variety of national and international competitions, award ceremonies, forums and our full mantle attests to their many talents. We envisage FBSS to be a place where national, international students and faculties can come not only to learn and acquire great skills, but also to let their imaginations run wild and their dreams come true for a futuristic society marked by humanism.
