The Department of Applied Psychology, Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences, MRIIRS is organizing an International Expert Talk on “Cognitive & Affective Neuroscience” by Prof. Dr. Joel Talcott, Professor of Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience, Aston University, UK on May 17, 2022; Time: 5:30 PM-6:30 PM IST Brief Profile of the Expert: Prof. Talcott is a professor of Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience. His research interests focus on: • Developmental disorders of cognition and language. • Development of reading and component skills in children. • Genetic and environmental influences on trajectories of brain structure and function • Educational Neuroscience Prof Talcott completed his PhD at the University of California, Santa Cruz and proceeded to complete his post-doctoral fellow at the University Laboratory of Physiology, Oxford University 1996-2001, before joining Aston University in 2001 as a lecturer. Over the years he has rose through the academic ranks at the University and built (and continues to) a successive number of research outputs leading to his professorship in 2011.
