DEANS PROFILE Lt. General (Dr.) R K Anand, PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM is a professional with four decades of experience in Infrastructure Development, Human Resource Management, Communication systems, Data Networks, Cyber Security & development of academic institutions. Prof. Anand has done PhD in Cyber Security studying the impact of Cyber threat on high intensity organisations. He has done extensive work on operational research and logistics management. He has done MBA in Operational Research and Business Administration from Osmania University. He is M. Phil in Strategic Studies from Madras University. He has done M. Phil in Resource Management from Devi Ahilaya Bai University Indore. He is M. Tech in Communication Engineering from IIT Delhi. He has overseen Development of Civil Infrastructure Works, Green Zones and Transformation of Environment as Director General of Land Works and Environment with Ministry of Defence. He led very large team to implement turnkey projects like Army Switched Communication Network (ASCON), Human Resource Management Software (HRMS), Infra Management System (IMS) and Cellular Systems successfully. He has transformed large number of organisations to achieve high-impact operations and results. As General Officer Commanding in Southern India he nurtured Army Institute of Dental Science, Hospitality and Fashion Design bringing these to national repute. He was Dean at College at Defence Management and Professor with Military College of Telecommunication Engineering. Prof. Anand has published number of papers and addressed International seminars on Cyber Power Management for Good Governance, Security Threat to Digital Initiatives for Good Governance, Building Assured Critical National Information Infrastructure, Optical Fibre for remote sensing and communication, Tactical Communication Systems, Technology to support Homeland Security, Encryption and Secure communication, Command, Control, Communication and Intelligence Systems, Developing Smart Cities, Sustainable Development and environment management. He was leader of teams for “Joint Pacific Command Communication Forum to achieve interoperability”, to provide “IT and communication Networks support to African Countries”, to adopt “Global standards in IPSEC”. He was leader of Indian delegation to CEBIT at Sydney Australia and study team to analyse cooperation amongst Indo French cyber forum. Prof. Anand is currently doing extensive work on evolving leadership and Strategic Technology Transformation 2040. He has been awarded five times by Honourable President of India. Prof. Anand is Fellow of IETE, member of HRFI, IIC, CSI and AIMA. He is Hony Chairman of National Cyber Defence Research Centre. Currently he is the Director General Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies and Dean Faculty of Management Studies.
