Bennington festival named a state top 10 winter event The inaugural Southern Vermont Wings and Winter Homebrew Festival held in downtown Bennington last winter got the attention of the Vermont Chamber of Commerce as it awarded the festival a Top 10 Event for Winter for 2018. The event, which combined more than 20 home brewers and local restaurant wings, was the brainchild of the Bennington Area Chamber of Commerce with partnerships from the organizers of the Homebrew Festival held on Bennington Arts Weekend, Madison Brewing Co. and CAT-TV. The festival was held on March 18 at the Masonic Lodge in downtown Bennington. The group invited some of the area’s top home brewers to bring their very best home brewed beer, cider, mead, braggot and wine for a chance to be crowned “Best Home Brewery.” That honor went to Jeremy Meerwarth. The group also invited area
