Doggie Fun Festival Saturday in Manchester By Ellen Ricks “If your dog is tired of Keeping up with the Kardashians, give this a try,” said Lee Rebalko, founder and creator of Doggie Fun Zone, which he said practically guarantees can get even the laziest of pooches moving. You and your furry friend can test his invention on Saturday, Sept. 30 at the Orvis Doggie Fun Festival at the Orvis facility in Manchester, Vermont. Rebalko describes the Doggie Fun Zone, the main event of this free festival, as something like a video game. Your pup will run through an obstacle course as it tries to catch an elusive lure through a fully enclosed “Grand Prix style” raceway. Even if your dog is a couch potato, it will instinctively go after twitch-

ing motion, no training needed. “It’s a game for both dogs and humans,” Rebalko said. “Its instant gratification and a real world video game. It’s fun for the dogs because get to run around and fun to watch the dogs go through the course.” Rebalko knows a thing or two about what’s fun, having come from three generations in the entertainment business. All dogs are able to play at the Doggie Fun Spot, from Doxies to Boxers, it’s completely safe. Seeing those dogs jump, run and almost fly through the air makes this the coolest dog event around. Who let the dogs out? Rebalko said of Orvis, which is hosting the event: “It’s a nice thing for them to do for the community.” While Rebalko will have sport cameras at the event to
