Art Opening The Historic Salem Courthouse Community Center presents artists Zorica Langa, Seth Butler, and Matthew Bartik in a group exhibition entitled “On Perception.” The exhibit will be on display from June 1 to July 10. The public is invited to a free opening reception with the artists on Friday, June 8 from 5 to 8 p.m. Each set of work holds a unique image of the world as it appears in the final products. While Butler’s fantastical paintings merge reality with a dreamlike space, Zorica Langa’s hypnotic abstract paintings hold the “internalization of the external world.” The pattern continues with Matthew Bartik, whose sculptural work manipulates the common fork into figurative and abstracted designs. disposal ceremony at the Saratoga National Cemetery on Thursday, June 14 at 9 a.m. at the main flag pole. Individuals, businesses, government offices and organizations seeking proper disposal of their worn flags are invited to drop them off in the administration office at the cemetery. All are invited to attend this ceremony, non-veterans included. Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, N.Y.
